INTENSIVE PROGRAM

OurSchoOl
} The YMCA International Language School, located at the heart of Downtown
Montreal, was established in 1965 and is part of the international YMCA movement
found in 120 countries.
} The Language School has 27, well-lit classrooms, 2 computer-based language learning labs,
a student lounge with wi-f access, and more.
} Free wireless access, in our language laboratories, is ofered to students registered in any of
our intensive programs.
} The minimum age requirement is 18, but the average age of our students is between
25-29 years old.
} We are members of the following associations: ALTO (Association of Travel Organization),
WYSE (World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation), Imagine Education au/in
Canada and Languages Canada.
} Our Language School is conveniently located in the same building as the YMCA Sports
Center which is equipped with technologically up-to-date equipment and ftness programs.
} Students who register in our intensive or semi-intensive programs benefit from a
FREE GYM MEMBERSHIP.

SEMI-INTENSIVE
PROGRAM
OurCOURSES
Our sessions start every 4 weeks.
We ofer sessions all year long.
We ofer group courses (maximum of 15 students
per group) and private lessons.
Our teachers are well qualifed (ESL diplomas and
certifcates) and competent.
Class materials are not included in the advertised cost.
Ofcial evaluation center for TOEIC (Test of English for
International Communication), and TFI (Test de franais
international) in Montreal.
AcTIVITIEs
Activities are organized regularly for students by the
school (tours, guided visits, trips, festivals/events,
cinema, and more.
Weekend trips to New York, Toronto, Ottawa,
Quebec City, and more.
OurFITNEsSCENTER
All students registered in our language programs of
15 or more hours per week have free access to our
ftness centre which includes:
A large selection of group ftness classes:
aerobics, toning, step, aquaft, yoga, various dances,
cardio cycle and much more!
An exercise room with cardiovascular
equipment, weight training circuit, and free weights
A 25-metre lap pool
A 125-metre indoor jogging track
A gymnasium for team sports
4 squash courts
A hot tub
Locker rooms
Sauna
OurSuMMER CAMPS
(9-17 YEARS OLD)
Two sessions of English and French Language camps
(located in downtown Montreal) are ofered during
the summer (July and August).
Three sessions of English language courses
(July and August) are ofered in Camp KANAWANA
a nature-flled camp site located 45 minutes
from Montreal.
AcCoMMODATIoN
Our school ofers two types of student accommodation
programs:
Homestay programs with English and French language
speaking Canadian families living within a 45-minute
radius from our school.
