Strange.that you should not have suspected that your universe

and all its content were only dreams, visions, fiction! Strange,
because they are so frankly and hysterically insane-like all
dreams: a God who could make good children as easily as bad, yet
preferred to make bad ones; who could have made every one of them
happy, yet never made a single happy one; who made them prize
their bitter life, yet stingily cut it short; who gave his angels
eternal happiness unearned, yet required his other children to earn
it; who gave his angels painless lives, yet cursed his other children
with biting miseries and maladies of mind and body; who mouths
justice and invented hell- mouths mercy and invented hell
mouths Golden rules and forgiveness multiplied by seventy times
seven, and invented hell; who mouths morals to other people and
has none himself; who frowns upon crimes, yet commits them all;
who created man without invitation, then tries to shuffle the
responsibility for a mans acts upon man, instead of honorably
placing it where it belongs, upon himself; and finally, with
altogether divine obtuseness, invites the poor, abused slave to
worship him!

....Mark Twain

God is not the creator of the earth but the principle of its motion. For
a creator is a dreamer. And a dreamer is a dissatisfied spirit, an
imperfect person who seeks for perfection.
..Henry Thomas

NO rational God would ever order a temple to be built in his honor
and d then allow it to be struck down by his own lightning.

Time is a finite mental image of an infinite eternity.

Sin not enjoyed is no sin at all.

The believer and the disbeliever in God are equally sub stainable.
For if, God made the world, who made God? But if nobody made the
world, how did it happen to come in existence?

All existence is rhythmical.

Listen only to the voice that is soundless.

When we examine the entire history of anything, we find that it
involves its appearance out of the impredictable and its
disappearance into the impredictable.

Every Birth is but a food for Death.
Time is the servant of Death.
Eternity, the master of life.

Men created Gods because of their fear of nature.

Knowledge is the only good.
Ignorance the only evil.
And wisdom is the ability to choose between them.

It is impossible to define music because it is impossible to analyze

More is meant than meets the ear.
..John Milton

You cant be creative without destroying something at the same

A god that created the world is unworthy of mans worship.

Men with little knowledge have big faith,
Men with big faith have little knowledge.

In the study of the supreme religious leaders of history, it is
heartening to note how many are the points on which they agree,
how few are the points on which they differ just as it
disheartening to note how few are the points on which their
followers agree, and how many are the points on which they differ.

With all his faults, every man carries heaven in his heart.

Gods are mere dead men.

The realest things in the world are the things unseen.
..Henry Thomas

Why do we insist upon the legend that God created the world in His
own image? It would be much more logical to say A donkey
created the world in His own image that is as stupid as possible.

If there is a God in heaven, either he is evil and will not stop such
things, or he is feeble and cannot stop them.

Religion is not to be found in the church, nor wisdom in books. To get
at them, he(God) must look into the human heart.
..George Fox

There is heaven enough for all of us.

Most men are too lazy to think. But they are not too lazy to revile
the thinker.
...Henry Thomas

Religion is an idea misinterpreted by the many, understood by the
few, and practiced by none.

Through the history of religion the gods are pictured as possessing
greater powers, but no better morals.
..Henry Thomas

Every Human being, even the so-called agnostic or atheist, is
religious at heart. For every human being has an intuitive sense
that he belongs- that he is an end to larger ends.
..Henry Thomas
