Marketing Of Waqf Projects And Products

In lights of the Institute's vision to be the first advisory reference in the world in the
development of the Islamic Waqf foundations (methodology and approaches), with goals
of leading the development process of waqf foundations through the training and
organizational development at levels of leadership and professionalism, hand in hand
with building expertise through academic qualifications, IIIW conducted the ninth
international program on 4-9 August 2014 in Malaysia titled Marketing of Waqf projects
and products

Deep Understanding And Strategic Marketing Planning.
Market Segmentation To Identify And Choose The Target Market.
Ability To Excel In The Marketing Process Of The Waqf Foundation.
Identify The Life Cycle Of Waqf Products.
Introducing The Principles And Strategies Of Pricing And Distribution Channels, And
How To Communicate With Customers (Ads, Offers, Brands)
How Does Your Brand Attract Minds Of Customers.

The trainer of this program was the
international expert, Dr. Ibrahim bin Suleiman
al-Haidari - faculty member in the Department
of Business Administration, Faculty of
Economics and Administrative Sciences, Imam
University, Riyadh. A holder of doctorate in
the field of the behavior of donors, with
academic and practical experience at a global
level in Waqf associations and foundations. He focused in this training at the following
topics

The program was enriched with the participation
of an elite of the administrative representing
Arab and Muslim Waqf foundations (such as: Ibn
Mubarak foundation, waqf of Sheikh
Mohammed Aboud Parmurdov, Al Quds
International Institution, the Century Fund, Aqsa
Foundation for Waqf and Heritage, Tunisian
Association for Islamic Finance, and the Gulf
Waqf Institution for Waqf consultation
For real practical experience for the participants, IIIW planned number of field visits to
foundations and charities and Islamic financial institutes, besides meetings with economic
figures and institutions Malaysian managers such as
Meeting with Mr. Tnsri Muhammad Ali Hashim,
former Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian
Johor Baru group, Malaysia (the Group's capital is
about seven billion dollars) along with one of the
members of the Advisory Board of the group,
where they discussed his vision in the
development of Waqf ,through his work and
achievements in the field of developing and
promoting waqf in the state of Johor Baru,
Malaysia
The second meeting was held with Mrs. Rosedah
Omar, finance manager of the leading pilgrimage
investment Fund in Malaysia, one of the largest
pilgrimage investment funds in the Islamic world.
That was established 51 years ago, with about $ 30
billion investments, locally and internationally.
During the visit, participants were introduced to
work process of the fund and marketing strategies,
as well as the development through the Waqf
projects launched by the fund
During the third field visit, participants met with
Mr. Hzman Jamal al-Din, general manager of
strategic management dept. in Bank Islam. He
introduced the strategic plan adopted by the
Bank and how to formulate strategic planning
explaining its impact on the sustainability of the
Waqf and charity work

Participants have also visited Awqaf and Zakat
authority which reports to the Office of the Prime
Minister of Malaysia. During this meeting with the
Director-General Mr. Annan Mohammed, he
talked in details about the role of this authority
and his experience as a general manager
Acknowledging the major role of Waqf in the
academic development of societies, participants
paid a visit to the international Islamic University,
Malaysia. The IIUM Director, Dr. Zulikha
Kamaruddin introduced the research center of the
university that is entitled to develop Waqf
researches in Malaysia, At the end of the program,
Mr. Tnsri Muhammad Ali Hashim IIIW consultant, handed over participation certificates for the
participants in the premises of IIIW Strategic Partner the International Islamic University
Malaysia.
During those field visits of the program, Dr. Sami Al Salahat, IIIW consultant, have introduced the
future plans of the institute, which offers new specialized programs such as the (Waqf
Management Diploma) to be launched September, 2014 in cooperation with The University of
Jordan, where candidate students will be trained for 150 credit hours. This academic program aim

Developments And Jurisprudential Interpretations In Terms Of Waqf Law And Provisions.
Expand The Circle Of Beneficiaries Of Waqf And Charity Work To Include All Segments Of Society.
Studying The Successful Experiences Of Waqf Institutions In Different Countries Of The World.
Take Advantage Of All Of Modern Sciences In The Service Of The Waqf Institutional Work.
Train The Needed Qualified Professionals To Manage The Waqf Modern Institutions.

Contribute To Raising Awareness Of The Importance Of The Waqf Among Individuals And Communities.

The program will be conducted with help of e-learning classes and electronic means , supervised by
an elite of specialists teaching in the main universities in the Muslim and the Arab world
At graduation, each student will be granted a certificate signed by the IIIW nd the University of
Jordan, approved by the Jordanian Ministry of higher education and scientific research
In line with its goals and strategic plans, IIIW is offering specialized programs for Waqf foundations
through training sessions specially designed to better qualify workers of those foundations, among
