FACILITATE TRAINING SESSION

Part 1 (Orientation Day)







Prepare workstations
Check the attendance and at the same time prepare the electronic media equipment for the orientation

Part II Deliver Competency Based Training (Training Proper)

Implement Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)



Assign a workstation to each trainee
Give individual task/s according to each trainees profile



Learners characteristics
Self-Assessment Checklist/RPL
Pre-test





Monitor the accomplishments of the trainees
Record accomplishments on the achievement chart
Demo, provide opportunities for practice
Ask the trainee if he/she is ready to take the institutional assessment
Conduct institutional assessment
o Explain the context of the institutional assessment / give complete instructions including
safety considerations (if any)
- Must include a return demo plus 1 or more institutional assessment method
Provide feedback

One-to-one (isolate the trainee)
Positive comments should be made first in order to give the trainee confidence and gain
his/her attention then the negative comments will follow
Record progress of the trainee on the progress chart
Assign trainee to the next competency

Part III (End of Training)

Congratulate the trainees for having completed the requirements of the qualification and say
that they are ready to take the national assessment and also, state that we will just advise you
regarding the schedule of the national assessment
