System Release Notice
TimeWatch Probe Firmware Version 2.4.03
Introduction
Thank you for choosing Symmetricom as your solution provider for telecommunications
synchronization systems. This document describes the features, fixed issues, and known issues
for firmware version 2.4.03 of TimeWatch Probe.
Compatibility
There is no compatibility with server software v2.2.03 or earlier. The 24-hour phase file upload
and remote firmware upgrade are not available in v2.2.04. Remote firmware upgrade is not
possible if upgrading to this version from v2.3.X or v2.4.00. GPS alarm notifications are not
available in server software v2.3.00-v2.4.00 and must be disabled.
Whats New In This Release
Compatible with TimeMonitor software application.
TimeWatch Probe can now be used with Symmetricom's TimeMonitor 2.1software. The user
can select this option from within the TimeWatch Probe configuration menu. Please read the
TimeWatch Operation and Service Guide Version 2.4.03 for further configuration instructions.
Corrected Problems
The following problem in version 2.4.02 has been fixed in this release:
Issue 255: Exceptions raised when the exception threshold mask has not been broken.
Changing the input signal type during a measurement could cause exceptions - when
the exception threshold mask has not been broken.
Known Issues
The following are known issues in this release:
Issue 157: Probe ceases communicating after a number of uploads over GSM.
Anti-spamming methods of some mobile operators actively block mobile stations that
attempt to make a certain number of calls over the same cell. At this point, the mobile
station must re-register with the cell; this requires rebooting the probe. This issue is
not expected to affect GPRS.

Issue 166: A loss of signal event can cause an MTIE exception when the signal is regained.
