Q.1:
BIDDAH:
Any thing in the deen is biddah and every biddah leads to dhalala,dhalala is going astray and whoever
goes astray will lead to to hell fire.(mafhoome hades
TYPES OF BIDDAH:
Scholars of ahle sunnah wal jamaha has been agreed upon the
following classification of biddah.
1.OBLIGATORY BIDDAH:
It is the the biddah which is compulsory to follow.i.e it is fardh
biddah.example of this type of biddah is putting harakaat on quran
pak,compiling the books of ahadees in a specific manner etc.
2.RECOMMENDED BIDDAH:
Following this type of biddah is actually encouraged in the deen of
islam.
3.PERMISSIBLE BIDDAH:
This type of biddah is permissible in the deen of islam for example,
Building some house or mosque that is not like the house and mosques
of the time of Prophet SAW.

4.DISLIKED BIDDAH:
Following this type of biddah is makrooh,for example if some one
decorates mosques (other than haramain shreefain),although it is not
haram but it is something that is disliked by sharia.

5.HARAAM BIDDAH:
All those acts and ways that are totally against the quran and sunnah
are included in this type of biddah,for example if someone start
celebrating particular days e.g,eid milaad un nabi SAW and thinks that
he is doing a good deed while there is no proof from quran or sunnah of
celebrating this day.similarly some people in Sufism used to do a
particular type of dancing with listening to particular type of music and
consider this the way of their spiritual uplifting.this is also haram biddah
bcz listening music and dancing is totally against sharia.

Q.2:
Our beloved Prophet SAW has taken two types of bayah(pledge).
The first type of bayah was the pledge of iman i.e if some muslim men
or women enter in the deen of islam the Prophet SAW used to take
pledge from them that they now believe in Allah,His messengers,His
angels,books and etc.this pledge was also taken from women as Allah
tala himself mentioned in the quran:
O prophet,when believing women comes to you for pledge upon that they will not
make anything partners with Allah,not they will stealthen take pledge from
them and ask for forgiveness for them from ALLah tala .
The second type of bayah that was taken by NAbi karim SAW from sahib
karam was the pledge of supporting the deen of islam against non
muslim people,i.e to remain steadfast and firm as muslims at the time
of jihaad,this bayha was once taken at the time of sulahe hudaybia
from sahba karam by the Prophet SAW,and Allah tala has mentioned
about this pledge in His book;
Indeed Allah tala pleased with the believers when you were taking pledge from
them under the tree(verse of quran e karim,surah e fatah)
Q.3:
PROPHETIC MODEL OF TAZKIYA:
Tazkiya is actually one of the four Prophethood functions of Nabi karim
SAW..Allah tala has mentioned his blessing on the believers by sending Prophet
Saw with following four traits:
1.Recite the verses of quran
2.Purification of the heart of believers,
3.Teaching the book
4.Teaching wisdom

now the question is that how Prophet Saw purifies the heart of believers,so we
can categorise this under the following headings.

ITTILA AND RABITA:
Sahaba karam always tutn to Nabi Karim SAW for what ever queries he had.it
comes about syedina Hanzila r.a that once he thought that he became munaafiq
bcz he dont feel such level of taqwa all the times as he feels when he remains in
the company of prophet SAW,so he went to consult nabi karim saw so that he
could tell him about this matter,on his way he met Abu bakar r.a,when he told
HAzrat abu bakar r.a the reason why he is going to Prophet Saw,then HAZRAt ABU
BAKAR said that if this is the case then I am also munaafiq bcz I also dont feel the
same level of faith in my heart all the time so they went to NABi KArim SAW to tell
them about theit conditionso this rivayah shows to us that the first basic thing
in tazkiya is to inform and contact with Prophet SAW and now after prophet
SAW we should do have ittila and rabitaaa with ut spiritual teacher called sheikh.
Bcz this is what ALLah tala has also mentioned in the quran:
And ask the people of remembrance if you dont know.

SOHBAT(TO BE IN THE COMPANY):
Sahaba karam used to remain in the company of Prophet SAW to seek the
guidance and teachings of the Prophet SAW,so men should also try to remain in
the company of their spiritual teacher,bcz the company of righteous and God
fearing people always gives everlasting effects on the heart.in Qurane karim Allah
tala also encourages the believers to remain in the company of truthful people.
Allah tala said in the quran:
O believers,fear Allah tala and be among those who are truthful.

NASEEHA:
Nabi karim SAW always used to teach the SAhab karam ,one of the very good
example is the haduthe mubaraka of beloved Prophet SAW:
Live in this world as a stranger or a wayfearer lives.
There is also a proof regarding naseeha from quran e karim,

And remind them of me,as reminding always benefits the believers.

SAhaba karam was those purified people who always used to follow the teachings
of Nabi karim SAW,In Quran e karim,it is said that,
O believing men,obey Allah and obey his messenger.
Allah tala has also said this in the quran e karim,
Whoever follows the messanger,then indeed he followed Allaw.
FOLLOWING GHYR RASUL:
After NAbi karim SAW has left this world, Allah tala has still made the doors of
ittiba open by following those who turns to ALLah, ALLah tala said in the quran e
karim:
And follow the path of those who turns to me.
This was the prophetic model of tazkiya.
IS TASAWWUF A BIDDAH:
As we have seen the Prophetic model of tazkiya under the light of quran o
hadees,and we come to conclusion that Tazkiya was one of the four major
prophethood functions.
Now when we analyse tasawwuf under the light of the above mentioned model of
tazkiya,we come to know that,that tasawwuf is totally according to sharia and
sunnah,bcz in tasawwuf a person get purification in the same way as sharia has
taught ,so there is no biddah in tasawwuf.there is nothing biddah in doing
muraqabah or doing dhikre katheer because this is something that Allah tala has
left open i.e ALLah tala has told us that we should remember him abundantly but
Allah tala didnt specified any particular way of remembrance,so remembering
ALLah tala by any means within the boundaries and limits of sharia is completely
permissible. Allah tala has said in quran:
Remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself in (exclusive)devotion.
We all know that the ism ALLAh is the zaati name of ALLah tala so there is no
biddah in remembering ALLah tala by his name.
Secondly ,ALLah tala has also said in the quran,
Remember your lord within yourself(nafs)
Scholars have mentioned that here the word nafs means the heart,so whats
wrong with doing muraqaba in which a person remember the name of Allah tala
in his heart.
Allah tala has also said that in the qurane karim:
O believers,remember ALLah tala in abundant remembrance.
In the silsila of tasawwuf ,sheikh tells his students to do some azkar i.e.
1.Recitation of quran karim
2.Durood o salawat on Prohet SAW
3.Astaghfar
4.Muraqba
5.Dhikre katheer
6.Rabtae sheikh
When we look at all these azakar and amaal,we find nothing against the
boundaries of sharia.and so according to the verses of quran and ahadees we are
definitely sure that tasawwuf is not at all biddah.

Q.4:
FOUR WORDS REGARDING THE DRESS
OF WOMEN:
In qurane karim ALLah tala has used the following four words to explain how a
women should dress and carry herself:
1.ZEENAT
2.KHUMAAR
3.JULBAAB
4.HIJAAB
LEVELS OF HIJAAB:
Hijab is actually levelledaccording to above mentioned words of qurane karim.so
one should dress according to those boundaries that sharia have mentioned.
FIRST LEVEL:
The first level of hijab that Allah tala has mentioned for women is to hide their
zeenat i.e their beauty.Allah tala has said in the quran:
And ask the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts,and donot expose their
adornment accept that which appears therof.
Here ALLah tala didnt mentioned any specific zeenat and left it open.some
people say that face is not included in the zeenah then may be they dont know
the truth that men are almost totallt attracted to women by looking her face,but
if still some women thinks that this part of mine is not zeenah than she had tp
prepare for making justification infront of Allah tala on the day of judjement.

ND
LEVEL:
Allah tala has said in the qurane karim;
They should wrap themselves with khumar over their chest,and should not expose their adornmments.
Here the word KHUMAR meand all those piece of clothing that are used to cover
the heads.

rd
level:
Allah tala told us in the quran e karim that
O Prophet,tell your wives,and your daughters and believing women to wrap
themselves with jalbaab(outer garments)
According to Ibne abbad r.a the word JALBAAB means a sheet that covers women
from head to feet.
In another narration,he explained this further that a women jalbaab is a sheet
that covers the women from head to feet and her face and nose are also behind
the veil except one eye left open to see the way.

LEVEL:
It is the level of hijaab,hijaab means partition or veil,Allah tala has taught us in the
qurane karim that there must be a partition if a women talks to some man.and
strange is that Allah tala is addressing this to ummahaat ul momineen and sahaba
karam i.e the purest of men and the women of the earth.then we must think that
if ALLah tala is commanding them,then how much it is necessary for the impure
muslims like us to follow these teachings.
HEAD COVERING OR NIQAAB?
As we have seen above the levels of hijaab,and we come to conclusion that if a
women wants t completely follow the sharia then she had to wear niqaab i.e she
had to cover her face and hand with her whole body.now the question is that why
naqaab necessary?why cant a women just cover her head?the answeris simple
that we have to understood the deen In the same way as the sahaba karaam has
under stood it.and there are many many ahadees e mubaraka which shows that
face covering is also necessary.here are some few examples from the ahadithe
mubaraka and the narration of sahaba karam r.a
Ibne abbas r.a had explained the jilbaab as a sheet that cover women from heard
to feet including her face except one eye,
Hazrat Ayesha r.a when narrated the long story of waqea ifak,she clearly
mentioned that when she was left behind,and one of the companion of
messenger of ALLah who came there after some time and recognized me and said
inna lillah,she immediately cover her face.
It has been narrated about Asma binte Abi bakr that she used to cover her face all
the time in front of men.
HAzrat Ayesha narrated that when Nabi karim used to lead salatul fajr,some
women came to mosque to pray behing him with veil covering their facec and
after salah they go to home unrecognized.
Even at the time of haalte Ehraam,it was narrated by Amma Ayesha r.a that when
we were performing tawaaf with Prophet Saw. we used to cover our faces with
veil when other men come near by us,and when they passed by us we uncover
our faces.
There is another mafhoome hadith which in which it is mentioned that once a
blind sahabi by the nameof umme maktoom came to Nabi karim SAW,and
Prophet Saw asked his two wives(hazrat Maimoona and umme salama r.a)who
were present there to cover their faces.they asked that is that sahabi not
blind,then Prophet SAW replied that is it that you both cant see him as well.
ALLathe above mentioned and so many other ahadeethe mubaraka and verses of
qurane karim made it clear to us that it is compulsory for us to wear niqaab.
INTERGENDER INERACTION:
Intergender interaction is not allowed in our sharia because of its evil effects on
the society along with individual level.it is something that is disliked and
discouraged in our sharia but because of any necessity islam has allowed to talk
with the person of opposite gender but has made limitation which a believinf men
or women should have to respect.Allah tala said in the quran:
And when you have to ask something good,then ask behind the curtain.
this ayah shows that if because of some reason a women and man have to talk
then there must be a curtain or partition between them.in an other verse it is said
that:
o women of the Prophet,you are not like other women if you fear(Allah),then do not be soft in your
speech(in front of men).
Here Allah tala is addressing the wives of the Prophet SAW so that we could
understand that if those pure and choosen women are advised to do this then
how much important it is for us to follows this command.so we should always try
to be firm and straight forward when talking to men.we should never speak in
soft manner because some men who has disease in his heart may get attracted by
us .
Sahaba karan in the time of Prophet SAW used to follow all these restriction,here
we can also see that even at the time of Prophet SAW,womon was saegregated
from women in all aspect to avoid intergender interactions.
Women have separate path to walk on:
Prophet Saw teaches wome to ot to mingle with men while on theoi way to
home,but they should walk on sides.

Separate day was selected to teach women by the Prophet SAW:
on the request of women Prophet SAW has selected a dary for women in which
they are tahught by Prophet SAW himself behind the curtain.
Separate entrance in masjid:
Prophet SAW once said infront of Umar r.a that this door should only be reserved
for women.after listening this hazrat Umar never entered masjid e nabwi from
that door until his death.
Separation in rows during prayer:
mafhoome hadith is that Prophet SAW said that the best of rows for men are the
first and the worst of rows for them is the last while for women the best of rows
are the last and the worst of rows are the first.
CONCLUSION:
All the above mafhoomul ahadees and verses of quran are infavour of the idea
that intergender interaction should be minimized as much as possioble and
wherever it is needed it must be under some restictions which a beliver should
follow.
