MS. JULIE MCDANIEL. Julie is our Member Involvement Coordinator, and as such,

DR. MARK DURRETT is a wonderful resource for helping you grow in faith and
understanding. In addition to teaching, Marks a great one for questions or book suggestions. Give him a call or take him to lunch: 256-1654 or mdurrett@eastminsterpres.org.
Mark is beginning three classes: Revelation at 10:00 a.m. Sunday mornings in E-351 for
six weeks; a seminar exploring small group life at EPC on Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:30
p.m. in E-357 for twelve weeks; and, Heaven & Hell Wednesdays at 11:15 a.m. and again at
6:15 p.m. in the CLC for six weeks.
Begin with God. For yourselves.
Your children. And even your childrens children.
See You Sunday,
Brad

Please bring a dozen or more homemade or purchased cookies on September 7, to be distributed to first responders in our area. Make sure they are well wrapped and leave them on tables in
the parlor or Thompson Hall for distribution following the 11:15 AM worship service.
Would you or your family like to deliver cookies to a nearby fire house, emergency room, or law
enforcement station? E-mail Julie at jmcdaniel@eastminsterpres.org.
Do you have any medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, or shower chairs) that
you no longer need? If so, please consider donating them to the medical closet at EPC! We
lend medical equipment to church members who are in need of these items. Also, if you
have borrowed something and no longer need it, we would love for you to return it. You
may donate or return items to Maria Harvin, Mary Baldauf, or Lynn Grandsire at the church
office. We will be happy to provide a tax receipt for your donation.
It is time again for your flu shots. There will be a Flu Shot Clinic on Tuesday, September 23,

Last fall Eastminster sent 15 people to Staten Island and New Jersey to work with one of
the teams helping people rebuild from Hurricane Sandy.
We will be traveling there in October, and will work with the same team as last year, the
building team from the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Our group will stay at a Holiday Inn
Express on Staten Island, near the work site. Breakfast is available at the hotel each morning
and free parking, as well. Calvary Presbyterian Church on Staten Island will provide three
dinners. The group will end work early one day to travel into New York City for dinner and
sightseeing. The group will depart from Eastminster early on Sunday, October 5, and return
Saturday, October 11. Cost is $262.50 per person, excluding travel costs, lunches and any excursions. We must have your firm commitment by September 4, to keep the good room rates.
Are you in? Email Julie at jmcdaniel@eastminsterpres.org to sign up, or contact Mark
Rosenberg at 446-0003 for more information.
