Charter Purpose:
The purpose of the 9Greening the Supply Chain: project charter is to communicate the
authori;ation for the project and the management approach to internal and e3ternal
project participants or sta%eholders. The project charter lays the groundwor% for informed
decisions and planning regarding projection direction, outcomes and deliery.
Problem Statement
Mar%et research and customer feedbac% indicate that a demand for 4nironmental
substance reduction has increased oer the past few years. 1ur competitors hae
already announced compliance to these industry standards for their product, and other
industries are e3pected to follow within the ne3t year.
1ur mar%et share growth is e3pected to decline if we do not reduce our enironmental
prohibited material in our product mi3.
Project Scope

The goals of this project support the ision, mission, and goals of Green Supplier +nc,

of a community web portal to disseminate enironmental regulation information.
The project helps eGGS,inc. achiee its goal of increased annual reenues by the reial

wastes, and achieing global leadership in greening the supply chain.
