II. Blue Rocks Partner with RE/MAX Associates For "tu!! "he Bus" Pro#otion:
The Wilmington Blue Rocks and RE/MAX Associates are partnering to "Stuff The Bus" with school supplies for
the Red la! School "istrict# $n August %&' there will $e a school $us parked in front of %rawle! Stadium for
the team&s dou$leheader against the Salem Red So'# %ans are encouraged to donate school supplies# The goal will
$e to literall! stuff the $us with as man! school supplies as possi$le# All of the supplies collected will $e donated
to the Re( )la* )onsoli(ate( chool District.
"Afforda%()a$ilit! is our motto and this partnership is one that we are reall! e'cited a$out*" said Blue Rocks
director of ad+ertising sales Brian Radle# While "Back To School" shopping is in full swing we can all take this
opportunit! to help local students in need* $e a$le to catch one more Blue Rocks game* and ha+e a lot of fun in
the process,"

reser-e( ticket to the August %& twin0+ill against the Re( o1' courtes* o! RE/MAX Associates.

/n the da!s leading up to August 01* the Blue Rocks will also $e accepting school2suppl! donations at the %rawle!

3n a date to $e determined* the $us will $e dri+en from %rawle! Stadium to a school in the Red la!
onsolidated School "istrict# Blue Rocks mascot* Rock! Bluewinkle* will 4oin agents from RE/MAX Associates
to deli+er the school supplies to students#

7)3T 8igh Schools* or a$9# The ta$les will $e set up from :2;<01 and will ha+e copies of maps* %A=s* etc# as
well as a central office person to answer >uestions# .lease identif! a location and ha+e !our staff place a ta$le
there# We will $ring the materials# /t will not $e a formal presentation ? instead it will $e an info ta$le where
people can stop $! and pick up maps* ask >uestions* etc# while the! are lea+ing open house#

The Smarter Balanced Assessment onsortium seeks feed$ack from teachers on the "igital @i$rar! of
instructional and professional learning resources# The "igital @i$rar! was created $! and for educators to support
implementation of the ommon ore State Standards using the formati+e assessment process# This is !our
opportunit! to pre+iew the li$rar!A the pre+iew period runs through e,te#+er %&#

As !ou plan for students returning to the classroom* the "igital @i$rar! is a +alua$le instructional tool# /t features
more than B*C11 resources aligned to the ommon ore State Standards and +etted $! educators using >ualit!
criteria# Resources include lesson plans* unit plans* ru$rics* instructional strategies* and professional learning
materials# A third2grade teacher from Washington state notes< "The "igital @i$rar! is full of hands2on* read!2to2
use resources and strategies for teachers across the nation to create high2>ualit! classroom lessons for students#"
