Dear Friends,
This year has been exceptional for HAWFC. Our
current membership stands at over 900 since
we opened the doors in April 2012.
Our approach to fitness is simple. We provide
bespoke programmes on request to all our new
members which is both informative and struc-
tured to ensure their adaptation from commenc-
ing the programme to completion of the initial 6-
10 weeks is both positive, and developmental.
So many success stories to include in this news
letter, but the stand out ones include, the Inclu-
sion in several TV and National News Stories,
including the One Show with an audience of 5
million viewers.
Sports Wales, Community Strategy Website, and
many hours of coverage at the 2014 Common-
wealth Games.
The Award of Highly Commendable from the
National Social Enterprise Awards is a privilege
we were honoured to receive.
Our Fund Raising has continued with our Annual
Splash for Cash in its 11
th
year, raising over
700. We donated 500 to Help for Heroes and
200 to Casey Jones MBE who travels to Africa
annually to help poor communities.
We have also sponsored the Holyhead Disability
Basketball Team with kit sponsorship. We are
proud of every one on the Team.
HAWFC have been a major sponsor for our very own Olym-
pian Gareth Evans and were very proud of his perform-
ance at Glasgow and his subsequent qualification for the
World Seniors in November this year where we are hopeful
of a high finish and possible qualification for Rio 2016.

We also applaud Stephanie Owens for her qualification
and participation at Glasgow 2014, She acquitted herself
very well and can look forward to building on her perform-
ance for the Gold Coast 2018.
Our British Level competitors include Gwyllim Sion Pari,
Best Lifter at the British Juniors and competed for Wales
in several International events. Sam Henderson, Com-
peted for GB and finished 8
th
at the European Youth
Championships in Poland, and won the British Senior Title
at 16 years of age. Seth Casidsid won the Welsh Title and
was second at the British Seniors.
Catrin Jones Welsh and British Age group Champion and
group winner in the Youth International at Austria.
Tiffany Brannan 4
th

Doug Williams 6 World Masters Records.
Gareth Evans
celebrates his

We are very fortunate to have a great team at HAWFC, both Chris and
Luke have provided excellent advice and training to many groups and
individuals since they both gained placements at the centre and have
now been subsequently employed by HAWFC. Luke and Chris are also
both Level 1 Assistant Weightlifting Coaches. To Seth our new Instructor,
we wish him a great time with us and we will utilise his competency as a
Level 3 Personal Trainer to look at new initiative going forward.
To all our past employees, we are very proud of your progress post em-
ployment at the Centre. Critch and Dalton have reached the very high
standards for entry into the Marine Corps and the Welsh Cavalry. Kristian
is back in the USA working, Jordon is in and out the UAE instructing out-
ward bound courses. Aron is working for the Isle of Anglesey County
Council as a 5x60 Officer.

We can advise on this area that hinders lots of Individuals
progress. Current statistics paint a very poor picture of our
nations health and wellbeing. I would recommend that you
keep well away from the salespeople that sell products to
provide the miracle of weight loss. The simple lifestyle of
good healthy eating, correct portion sizes, no junk food be-
tween meals and correct hydration coupled with a structured
specific physical training plan is the only way that long-term
weight management can be achieved The onus is on YOU to
take charge of YOU!!. It can be a long road for some, but the
benefits once adaptation occurs are brilliant we have several
great examples at HAWFC, of people who have changed their
lives around.
Currently we conduct weekly sessions at Cemaes Bay (Memorial Hall 6.00pm
on Mondays), (Bodedern School 6.00pm on Tuesdays) and Wylfa 6.00pm on
Wednesdays), which are well attended. We will be extending this programme
across more communities of Ynys Mon over autumn and winter this year.

We are currently seeking funding partnerships with several agencies to provide a
Front of House Reception to include more toilet and shower facilities and a
physiotherapy room which is needed by our members. To date we have secured
55,000 and are close to securing the remainder to make up the 105,000. It is
hoped that the new extension will be operational by March 2015.

In a very short period of time the centre has been open its achievements have
been fantastic. We are rightly proud of HAWFC and its achievements both on
the sporting field of play and the life changing health and fitness benefits it is
providing for the Community of Ynys Mon.
We thank our partners Isle of Anglesey County Council, Mentor Mon, Sport
Wales, Wales Cooperative, WAG, Coleg Menai, and Arfon Dwyfor Training. The
support provided has been pivotal in the growth of this Social Enterprise and
more importantly providing a service to create a fitter healthier Anglesey.
All three could make
Gold Coast 2018.
