Over a total area of more than twenty-seven acres, One Logistics Hub development consists of The Ship, The
Waves and soon The Lighthouse.
The Ship
Completed in September 2009,
The state of art warehouse with
approximately 10,000 pallet locations
and a shelving rack area of over
25,000 square feet with annexed 6
story corporate headquarters. There
are 17 dock levellers equally located
on each flank of the warehouse,
operation offices with modern office
facilities all with the nautical theme. It
is enhanced with Warehouse
Management System (WMS) and
Radio Frequency and has the very
best 24/7 CCTV with security.

The Waves
Completed in October 2010, the
second building named The Waves
keeps within the nautical themed
concept. The warehouse consists of
34,000 pallet positions, 45 containers
loading bays, 24/7security and is of
FM Global standard.

The Lighthouse
The development is named
The Light House in synchrony to
earlier developments i.e The Ship
and The Waves and a reflection of
the core business of the company
which is in Sea Freighting. It shall
comprise of a 6 story warehouse
and a control tower, an operation
office of equal area for each level
with a total area of 9,680 square
feet. There will be cargo lift facility
to reach out to each of the floors.
Six elevated loading bays
catering for Inbound and
Outbound services. The 7.5m eave of
the warehouse shall serve as staging
and rework area for relabeling and
stickering. The 15m eave of the
warehouse shall be installed with
multi level racking system to
maximize the area for storing of
products. It will comply with TAPA
security standard.

Security
Security is of the upmost
importance, and the security
standard is equivalent to TAPA
security guidelines. There is a
Security Command Centre Hub
which has motion activated sensors
and CCTV recordings of up to 60
days. CMS integration of all CCTV
cameras into the Command Centre
Hub. There are professional security
guards strategically stationed and
inside the network based access
control points (access cards).

In line with concern to the environment, PKTs modern warehouses
are designed based on a green concept.
Rain Water Harvesting
We harvest rain water and the water is then used for general
washing and watering of plant.
Energy / Material Efficient Warehouse Design
Natural ventilation is introduced in the warehouses by the
provision of large numbers of aluminum louvers throughout
the warehouses. The louver admits indirect light and helps
the natural air flow throughout the warehouse.
Translucent sheets were placed at strategic locations on the
wall of warehouses to harness the natural light during day
time to brighten up the warehouses aimed at reducing
artificial lighting.
Together with the superb heat insulation thermofoil installed
below the roof, the indoor temperature for the warehouse is
always much cooler than the outside temperature during the
day time.
Timers are also installed in warehouse to switch on/off lights
at set timings aimed at reducing wastage.
Light color roof and wall cladding reflect sunlight thus absorb
less heat resulting in less air conditioning loading.
Low E glass introduced on some parts of the office block at
The Ship reduces the heat gain due to sun light.
Interlocking paver used for the car park in front of the office
block at The Ship also releases less heat to the air
comparing with the normal tar mac or concrete surface.
Landscaping
Pineapples (approximately 20,000 plants) are planted on the
land in between One Logistics Hub and Kesas Highway. This
serves as a measure to cooling off the environment along
that stretch of Kesas Highway while generating income.
Green Warehouse & Transportation Operations
GPS mounted onto vehicles to monitor drivers driving
behavior and degree of compliance to predetermined routes
aimed at motivating the drivers in desired fuel efficient
driving behavior and utilization of efficient routes in reducing
fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Engine off policy when waiting at warehouse compound in
reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
Implemented Warehouse Management System (WMS) in
increasing productivity, accuracy and reducing wastage thus
resulting in less engagement of essential resources
(manpower, machine and money) in preserving the
environment in carbon emissions, usage of paper, fuel,
utility via the below means:-
Optimum Utilization of Resources - Automation and
streamlining of processes ensures that operational
bottlenecks are eliminated and productivity increases.
Better Efficiencies - Intensive checks are kept at each and
every stage which safeguards against possibilities of errors
in inventory records. As the items are systematically stored
and retrieved, no time is wasted in searching for items not in
stock and more than one order can be processed at any
given time. This results in the increase of efficiencies,
eliminating wastage of time due to errors.
Better Productivity Monitoring - By keeping track of the
operator's and staffs' activities, their productivity can be
monitored.
Multiple Order Processing - More than one order can be
processed at any given time helping in better resource
