Corporate Overview
In 1972, Shindo Sumidomo started his operational
business by establishing small cracker home industry in
Sidoarjo. At the present time, the Company grows to
become PT Siantar Top, Tbk, one of the leading and
national scale food and beverage industries in Indonesia.
First site location was built in 1987. The Company has
continuously evolved and listed its shares in Jakarta
Stock Exchange (now Indonesia Stock Exchange) in
1996.
To fulfill high demand of local market, PT Siantar Top,
Tbk has expanded its site location in Medan in 1997,
Bekasi in 2002. Besides developing domestic market,
the company is also burgeneoning its international
markets to Asia, Middle East, Europe and USA.
PT Siantar Top, Tbk has developed food and beverages
at the best quality by focusing on the finest taste. High
commitment and dedication are delivered for consumers
by presenting healthy food products including biscuit

Dari hasil Praktek Kerja Lapang yang dilaksanakan di PT. Siantar Top, Tbk Sidoarjo-
Indonesia, dapat disimpulkan bahwa PT. Siantar Top, Tbk Sidoarjo adalah perusahaan yang bergerak
di bidang pengolahan makanan ringan khususnya biskuit, yang berdiri pada tahun 12 Mei 1987 di Jl.
Tambah Sawah No. 21-23 Waru, Sidoarjo, Indonesia. Struktur organisasinya berbentuk garis, dengan
jumlah tenaga kerja sebanyak 743 orang utuk divisi biskuit.
Proses produksi di PT. STT merupakan proses produksi terputus-putus (Intermitten process).
Tata letak fasilitasnya adalah product layout karena proses produksinya berurutan mulai dari bahan
baku sampai produk jadi. Segmentasi pasar di PT. Siantar Top, Tbk bersifat universal, dengan daerah
pemasaran meliputi pasar dalam negeri dan luar negeri. Sanitasinya meliputi sanitasi ruang produksi
dan gudang, ruang kantor, pekerja, serta peralatan dan lingkungan pendukung. Limbah yang dihasilkan
berupa limbah cair, limbah padat, dan limbah gas.
Manajemen distribusi dibagi menjadi 4 aspek meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian,
pelaksanaan, dan pengendalian. Dalam aspek perencanaan kapasitas angkut, armada, daerah distribusi,
produk dan prosesnya. Pengorganisaian digunakan struktur organisai garis. Pelaksanaan dilakukan
dengan melakuakan penawaran atu order lewat distributor yang sudah melakukan kerjasama yaitu SND
(Semestnustra Distrindo). Pengendalian digunakan pada pendistribusian merupakan permintaan order
(PO), delivery order (DO), dan surat pengiriman barang (SPB) dan setelah pendistribusian metode
service level , biaya pengiriman, Penolakan barang, dan rasio biaya ditribusi.
Saran
Diharapkan untuk kedepanya PT. Siantar Top, Tbk dapat meningkatkan dalam hal :
1. Penambahan armada dan perluasan pasar perlu dipertimbangkan untuk dapat mengembangakan
perusahaan tersebut.
2. Riset secara berkala kepada konsumen, baik pelanggan maupun masyarakat pada umumnya dapat
memperbanyak perbendaharaan masukan untuk kemajuan perusahaan.
