The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance. The DA is looking to recruit a
self-motivated and goal driven individual for this position, reporting to the Analyst with an
indirect reporting line to the Chief Research Officer. The successful incumbent should meet the
following requirements:
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ability to translate from English into the Sotho languages: Sesotho, Sepedi,
Setswana.
The ability to translate from English into Tshivenda and Xistonga would be
advantageous
Background in a marketing or market research environment advantageous

REQUIREMENTS:
Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic
Alliance
Ability to work fast, accurately and creatively under tight timelines
A deep understanding of the everyday usage of the languages into which you will be
translating
Strong literacy
Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
Prepared to work long and irregular hours

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Translating written communication products in a way that accurately conveys the
meaning of the source text






Working collaboratively with other role players in the organization in order to understand
the purpose of the translated product
Providing an administrative function to the analytics department
Providing an interpretation function
