This brochure describes the installation and the function as well as the technical
features of YT-air-conditioning units. The present hand-book
is a non-detachable part of the delivered uhit and is to be kept safely for
reference in later cases of doubt. Interventions in the unit should only be
conducted if familiarity with the principle of function is adequate. Additionally,
all conditions for safe working have to be ensured.
All YT-air-conditioning units of this construction type have to
be installed in accordance with the instructions stated within this brochure.
Therefore, set up has to be conducted with reference to the given description.
Should this not be possible in some cases, our customer service will find
another solution.
For the production of YT-units only materials of best quality and latest
technical methods are employed. \
Quality is an important aspect for for the manufacturer, which takes a crucial
role in the development of new plans fromthe very beginning. All our units
are subject to strict quality controls.

Mech ani c Cool i ng:
_ Release over room temperature (compressor ON value) and outside temperature >+10"C
- Desired value area for compressor ON between 19"C and 35"C
_ Desired value area for compressor OFF between 17"C and 33 "C
_ Temperature difference between compressor ON and OFF value minimum 2 K
- Air flap closed completely
_ In case of fault within the mechanic cooling circuit or one of the evaporator fans, it will switch
to "Free Cooling" automatically, given an outside temperature below room temperature
_ When running in "Mech. Cooling" mode it will switch to "Free Cooling" if all criteria for this
mode is fulfilled as soon as room temperature has reached the compressor OFF value
_ In any case, the compressor will stop when outside temperature falls below 10"C
Free Cool i ng:
_ Release over outside temperature (outside temperature below compressor OFF value and
room temperature below compressor ON value)
_ Air damper operating modulating between 0 and 100%
_ Desired temperature value for flap regulation equals compressor OFF value
_ "Free Cooling" mode will be kept until room temperature exceeds compressor ON value
Emergency Cool i ng - OPTIONAL:
_ In case of loss of voltage supply with connected 48V DC emergency energy source, the unit will switch to
this mode (Emergency Cooling) automatically. Electronics and one inside fan will be supplied, which
provides limited cooling.
General :
_ Inside fan(s) operate continuously, as soon as the release contact is closed.
In case of room temperature falling more than 5 K below the compressor OFF value, the inside fans
will shut down for reasons of energy optimising. Every 5 minutes they will be activated to take measure
of the current room temperature for 2 minutes. When the compressor OFF value is reached, the
inside fans switch to continuous mode - ENERGY SAVING MODE (function may be deactivated).
_ Fire alarm (if available) is connected in series to the release contact and will shut the unit down
_ The maintenance button (optional) if activated provides a shutting down of the unit for a maximum of
30 minutes. When the excess temperature alarm is reached the unit switches on automatically, even if the
time span has not expired. Hitting the button again will release the unit immediately. (Activating temperature
_ Elec. Heating (optional) will be activated as soon as the entered temperature value is reached.
of elec. Heating has to be at least 3 K below the compressor OFF value!) Air flap is closed completely.
_ Automatic running time adjustment when installing a redundancy unit (switching after 24 hours)

Alarm Messages
The following alarms can be signalled:
Accumulative fault message and power failure
Filter alarm - optional
Excess temperature
Alternating Current Supply
Before connecting the unit to the AC network, check that
the available voltage on location is compatible with
the voltage shown on the type plate. Therefore, make
sure that a unit with 400 V is fed between the phases
or one with 230 V between phase and neutral conductor.
The connection has to be made according to the
following diagram:
400V, J -. 50Hl ,N .
It has to be examined whether
400 V exist between the phases
and 230 V between phase and
neutral conductor. Further, the
unit has to be grounded properly.
The connection is to be made
according to the respective
circuit diagram.

Direct Current Supply OPTIONAL
Incase of power failure the unit is equipped with an emergency
operation system. This system is fed by 48 V direct current The
console panel provides a terminal block for the connection
of the DC source. This block has two terminals marked with
the symbols "+" and "-".
For connection correct polarity has to be ensured.
Consequently, the direct current has to be examined.

The connections for the various internal contacts canO
be seen fromthe operational circuit diagram. After
connection of all terminals, the thermo-magnetic fuses
have to be activated. During this process the inside
fans (evaporator) start up. To check proper compressor
operation, respective roomtemperature has to be
increased to the starting up temperature of the
compressor, When this temperature is reached, the
compressor starts up and the "Mech. Cooling"mode
is activated, Subsequently, the power intake of the
compressor should be examined with a clamp-on
ammeter.
