Increased minimum wage rates apply for the first full pay period after 1 July 2014.

The minimum wage rates have changed as a result of the 2014 Annual Wage Review
conducted by Fair Work Australia (FWA).

Please find attached updated Wage Rate Sheets reflecting the new wage rates. These are
the new legal minimum rates. An employee cannot be paid less than these declared rates
of pay. You are also reminded that it is your responsibility to check the right of your
employees to work legally in Australia and to enforce Visa work restrictions of your
employees.

Payroll will update the minimum wage rates for the week ending Sunday 13 July 2014.

Penalty rates
Please note that as a result of the wage rate update, some of the penalty rates may have
changed.

Superannuation
Effective from 1 July 2014 there will be an increase in your minimum superannuation
guarantee contributions, from 9.25% to 9.50%.

UPDATED Payroll Charts
You will also find attached two Payroll Charts. There is one Payroll Chart for Full Time &
Part Time employees and another for Casual employees. The Payroll Charts are a tool to
help you complete the weekly Timesheet. You are responsible for ensuring that the
legally required penalty rates are allocated to your employees on the information you
supply to payroll.

The Payroll Charts show you:
A. Which wage rates apply for various shifts
B. The penalty rate (loading) that applies to the wage rate (for example, 100.00%,
125.00%)
C. How to input the wage rate into the Timesheet (for example, by using Ordinary
Time, Time & Half or Double Time, or by using Other Hours and selecting a
Rate Code)
