Ce line Desmarais is an associate professor at the University of Savoie. She is vice-
president of the International Association for Research in Public Management
(AIRMAP). Her research focuses on the management of human resources in the
public sphere, public service values and motivation, as well as the roles of managers
and management development.
Claire Edey Gamassou is an assistant professor at the University Paris-Est. Her
research focuses on the eld of organizational behaviour and public management,
with a particular focus on workplace suering (stress, burnout) in regional public
service and care professions. She is a board member of the Study Group on
Labour and Suering at Work (GESTES).
