If you have questions, encouragement, suggestions etc. for our church, or if you have something you would like to discuss or present at one of these meetings, please share that with the Ministry Team. Sept. 10, Wed.- Jr. Youth, JGA and JBA will be meeting at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church from 7-8:30 p.m. Sept. 13, Sat.-Fellowship Day and Chicken BBQ at Landis Homes 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Benefit Auction begins at 9 a.m. See brochure on the bulletin board for details. Cookies are needed for the Landis Homes Chicken BBQ by Sept. 12. Sign up on the sheet in the narthex if you are interested in donating 5 dozen. Contact Mary Ellen Musser with any questions. Sept. 17, Wed.-The Bible Released Program for the coming school year will be beginning. Interested Adamstown Elementary students in grades 3-5 are excused from school for one hour each Wed. for Bible instruction and scripture memorization. If you enjoy sharing Gods Word with children and are available 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Weds., please considering joining others in our church family by serving as a volunteer (Contact Sylvia or Darlene for more info.). Please pray that God would use this time with the students to have an eternal impact in their lives. Sept. 17, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will meet in the morning and afternoon. Everyone is invited to help with comfort knotting, quilting, or sewing on a sewing machine. School kits are the project this month. A School Kit includes the following new items:4 spiral or perforated notebooks (8 X 10 ; 70 sheets), 1 ruler (flat, flexible plastic; indicating centimeters and inches), 12 colored pencils in packaging. Sewing Circle will provide a pencil eraser and 8 unsharpened pencils for each kit. Items can be brought to the church and Sewing Circle will see that they are taken to MCCs Material Resource Center. Our church provides subscriptions for anyone who wishes to receive this publication. If you would like to have your name added or removed from the subscription list, please let Darlene McCosby know no later than Sunday, Sept. 28 th . -Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society upcoming events- Hazels People Field Trip-Explore Lancaster Mennonites in transition through the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Societys upcoming field trip on the making of Hazels People 40 years ago. Films in the Field. Each Sat. in Sept., watch a Mennonite film and hear from someone involved in its creation. The films are: The Radicals, Sept. 6; Hazels People, Sept. 13; The Silence at Bethany, Sept. 20; Pearl Diver, Sept. 27; All films start at 7:30 p.m., tickets cost $5 at the site on the same day. Community Hymn Sing-Come on Sun., Sept. 14, 3 p.m., to the 1719 Hans Herr House and join others in singing favorite hymns in the oldest surviving Mennonite place of worship in the Western hemisphere. Admission is free, but registration is required. Call (717) 464-4438 to save your place. Volunteers needed-1719 Hans Herr House and Museum, located in Willow Street, needs volunteer tour guides and help in the gift shop. We are looking for help on weekdays and Sat..
