Growing number of market participants are entering the market Automobile firms are launching EV version of conventional car models Increase in number of joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions EV players are seeking carbon credits
An electric car is an automobile that is propelled by one electric motor or more, using electrical energy stored in batteries or another energy storage device. Electric motors give electric cars instant torque, creating strong and smooth acceleration.
TYPES OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES
1. Battery Electric Vehicles: Use batteries to power an electric motor which propels the vehicle. In "extended range" electric vehicles, batteries are charged from the grid and by a small gas engine that powers a generator which powers the batteries (the engine doesn't propel the vehicle, it recharges the batteries.)
2. Plug-in hybrid Vehicles: Use electricity and gas to move vehicle's wheels. Some, or all, of that electricity comes from the grid -- from "plugging in."
3. Hybrid Electric Vehicles: Use both an electric motor and an internal combustion engine to propel the vehicle.
4. Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles: Combine hydrogen fuel and oxygen to produce electricity used the power an electric motor that moves the vehicle TAZARI MOTORS PRESENTS

POWERFUL ELECTRIC MOTOR
The impressively agile electric motor, developed by TAZARI, combined with the high-voltage lithium ion battery and intelligent energy management delivers driving enjoyment and efficiency every time. The electric motor of the ELECTRIKE is perfect for use in urban areas, delivering 125 kW/170 hp with a torque of 250 Nm. The full torque is instantly available from a standstill a feature of electric motors and does not need to be built up first through engine speed, as it does with combustion engines.
RANGE EXTENDER
The car features a tiny additional 650cc petrol engine, which powers a generator to recharge the battery while the car is on the move. With this, the car can travel up to 300 kilometres on a single charge, almost twice as far as the all-electric car.
INFORMATIVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
The car's onboard navigation system, which features a mobile data connection as standard, displays available charging stations within the car's current range in real-time. On-board computer with Check Control: provides feedback on the vehicle's operating status, including oil level indicator and distance to next service appointment/oil change, as well as other detailed information such as micro-filter status. It also provides travel information travel range on remaining charge, external temperature and more.
OPERATING MODES
The ELECTRIKE allows the driver to select the car energy consumption through three different drive modes: COMFORT, ECO PRO or ECO PRO+ mode. In the standard COMFORT mode the CAR delivers a range of 160 km (100 mi). The ECO PRO mode increases the driving range by around 12% through a different accelerator pedal mapping which uses less power. In ECO PRO+ mode, all settings are geared to achieving the maximum possible range, increasing the driving range by about 24% compared with COMFORT mode.
