Research the work of Karl Blossfeldt and respond using at
least 2 pages in your DW. (See Next Slide)



Week 2 - Independent Study Task

into his work and make studies, to which I have then responded
to by taking my own Blossfeldt style images.

Select an interesting object of Natural Form
and produce an A5 or bigger detailed tonal
pencil study.

Take your time quality rather than quantity

Focus on the formal elements and mark
making techniques - texture, pattern, shape,
line, tone, shading.

Task 3 ( 50 Minutes)

Plenary (10 Mins)
Swap work with a partner.

Using artistic language try to determine how
successful their pencil studies are in terms of the
learning objectives.

Think about...
- drawing from observation
- the formal elements, scale, proportion, line,
patterns
- mark making techniques
- detail
- shading and use of tone

Set a target for improvement.
Task Create your background for
your ink/pen drawing for next
lesson.
Fine line pen study with Acrylic and Watercolour.

Using your Natural object of Natural Form and
produce an A5 detailed fine line pen, ink and
acrylic white paint, and watercolour study.

FOCUS...line, shape, texture, pattern, tone

Give your cartridge paper a wash of watercolour.
Dry before drawing on it.

Use a little water on a paint brush to bleed some
of the fine line pen lines and then add acrylic
paint and Indian ink.- this adds depth and
shading to the study.




Week 2- Single Lesson Art Practical
A5 size. This will also go
on your A2 sheet.
Use the paint and ink for
your highlights and darks.
Finish for next lesson if not
completed.
