This document details about the step-by-step process in archiving the IDocs.

Archiving is the
process of offloading Out-of-date data onto a file at the operating system. The following are the
two important reasons for archiving

2ou can observe that all the above IDocs are in error state. The IDocs in error state cannot be
archived. 3owever$ we would leave this part to the end of the document and proceed further.

To assign physical path !elect the 9 logical path created above and now double-clic" on the
assignment of physical paths on the left side of the screen.

7lic" on 8ew .ntries and enter the following data
)eave the file name as shown above.
Maintaining File Names 8ow clic" on )ogical file name definition and clic" on new entries.

Archiving of IDocs There are two methods of archiving IDocs

This document would detail the procedure using the transaction !A;A.
,o to transaction !A;A and the enter the Archiving Ob=ect name as IDO7

3ere we are scheduling the archival process immediate.

1ollowing message appears

1rom the above screenshot$ you can observe that the IDO7 could not be archived. The IDocs
shouldn>t be in error status for the IDocs to be archived.
To change the status of the IDocs$ e0ecute the program ;7&?IDO7?!.T?!TAT:!.
