A presentation on the topic Disability Redefined was given by Group number 15. It has been reviewed by Group number 7. The following review has six parts viz. introduction, Content, Style of Presentation, Group Dynamics, Audience Engagement and Conclusion.
Introduction In our day to day life we come across many people who find it difficult to understand the some basic concepts. Some are those who are having inherent problem with their sensory organs. It is very important to recognize these types of people and adapt accordingly, to convey our message to them and help them in delivering their thoughts and understandings. In this presentation we have come across broad categories of people who are having sensory organ problem and those having learning disabilities. Presentation has shown the way to communicate effectively with these people. We can use non-verbal communication and can apply our past experience to deal with them. We should have patience and should develop ourselves as good listener. In addition to these we can ask for feedback and should provide feedback to them to develop confidence. It has been proved in the past that people with above mentioned communication problems have proved themselves and contributed greatly to welfare of society. This example has been used effectively to prove a point in the presentation. Moreover concepts regarding learning disabilities have been clarified with use of relevant videos. Content The content was relevant to the topic chosen. Most part of presentation was related to disabilities in kids which made it more emotional. The stuttering disability described was important in business context and managerial communications. The videos used were good and connected to the audience. The animated video presented lightened the atmosphere and still conveyed the seriousness of the problem of disability. The find the connection quiz was sequenced properly and at the right slot in between the presentation. Quiz helped them give more examples of how, many great personalities had speech disorders, and are still able to overcome them and make great careers. It was thought provoking and made a good impact on the people present there. Style of Presentation Mansi started presentation with confidence stating facts and figures relevant to the topic. Presenting reference of figures (viz. WHO) is important thing from presentation has observed. Body language of Umang and Pritam initially indicated nervousness. Over period of time they overcame nervousness. Good eye contact was maintained by Mansi but Pritam and Umang couldnt maintain same throughout presentation. All group members showed proper hand gesture. All of them utilized space available for presentation very well. Even after being stopped in between presentation by Prof. Anupam Das, Mansi maintained proper flow of delivering presentation which indicated good hold on topic content and confidence. Information flow looks to be divided into two categories. First is defining physical disability and ways to handle people suffering from physical disability. And second is analysing learning disability and recognizing people suffering from this disability and ways to improve on ways of communication while dealing with these kinds of people. There is absence of cohesion of whole information into a single whole. Moreover, good attempt has made to introduce videos which are highly relevant to the topic and have helped in conveying the message efficiently. This has resulted in holding attention of audience. Introduction of quiz during the presentation was good surprise element. This even helped in clarifying topic contents. Group Dynamics Presentation started with good group interaction. At definite interval of time and at precise shift of topic content, change in orator observed. Change in presenter was hassle free. Group changed presenter at appropriate time. Good strategy of asking question to each-other while change of presenter has adopted. This led to smooth transition of presenter and even flow of presentation remains continuous. All three of them contributed almost equally in during presentation. Pritam many times turned back to audience and faced towards presentation screen. He was looking mostly towards right part of class room. Very few times he maintained eye contact with all the audience. Though Umang looked confident, he was looking towards floor most of the time. He couldnt maintain eye contact with audience. He made quiz session interactive and created the fun element during it.

Audience Engagement:
1. During Presentation: Since the content was good and topic highly relevant, the audience concentration was high. Everyone was paying attention during the topic owing to its sensitivity and not speaking much. Even though the topic was serious, they used video of Hrithik Roshan, with which the audience connected and it lightened the atmosphere a bit. The Barack Obama video made people laugh a bit and yet conveyed the message it intended. The find the connection quiz also brought energy in the audience. So basically, audience engagement was good during the presentation.

2. During Question-Answer session: Too many questions were asked by the audience. All three i.e., Mansi, Umang and Pritam answered the questions. Even though Pritam was not very much active during the presentation, he did contribute during the Q&A session. People in audience and sir were quite satisfied with the answers given by them. Also, Himani and Niti shared their own personal experience about their brothers; this showed the connection/relevance of topic to people. Overall there was high audience participation in Q&A session.
Conclusion All in all everyone enjoyed the presentation. The quiz conducted after the presentation was enabled the viewers to test their understanding of the topic. The content and data used were relevant considering the increasing need to understand the sensitivity of the topic. We need to give equal or rather more importance to people with physical and learning disability and understand that they are not inferior to the ably bodied in any way. Since, there is always a scope for improvement and nothing is perfect, we can say that the presentation, in terms of timing and co-ordination, delivery of speech and non-verbal communication could be improved further.
