RVR COB Code of Ethics
I. Preamble
Whereas the RVR COB should lead the way in ethical business management as a PRME signatory;
Whereas Ramon V. del Rosario, for whom the College was named, is an exemplar of ethical leadership;
Whereas, the RVR COB can benefit from articulating the common values of social responsibility it adheres to and promotes to its students in order to align and synergize the efforts of the various departments;
Whereas the Council of Chairs recognized in its 03 October 2013 meeting [COC-RES-1314- T2-05], that a policy statement should be issued to that effect and that guidelines should be prepared to ensure that the College Code of Ethics is understood and adopted by all college stakeholders;
II. Policy Statement
1.1 The College adopts a unified Code of Ethics drawn from the Global Business Oath (http://theoathproject.org/?page_id=47 ) and the Vocation of the Business Leader (http://www.stthomas.edu/cathstudies/cst/VocationBusinessLead).
1.2 The RVR COB Code of Ethics shall form the basis of a revised Vision/Mission statement of the College.
1.3 Each Department shall ensure that RVR COB Code of Ethics is understood by members of the academic community within their sphere and encourage its adoption.
1.4 The RVR COB Code of Ethics shall form part of every syllabus prepared within the College, in all academic levels, and explained during the first day of class.
III. Implementation Rules
The Code of Ethics as well as the implementing rules of this policy statement are covered under COB-IRR-1314-T2-01.

IV. Repealing and Separability Clause
Any policies, procedures, rules and other issuances or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with the provisions of this policy statement, are hereby revoked, repealed, or modified accordingly.
Should any provision of this policy statement be declared as contrary to the University policy, the same shall not affect the validity of the other provisions.
V. Effectivity
This policy takes effect immediately.
