1. To provide protection to trawlers, mine-sweepers, etc.
working off tho East coast of the British Isles and to give
actual practice in A,A. firing, it has been decided to detail
teams from A.A. L.VI.G. platoons of units of 'l Cnnadinn Division.

An exceptionally good Signal Platoon. In addition to

The Platoon Sergt. NeWberry, J.D. fully qualified to
take on duties of Signal Officer should he be
ended.
This is the only Signal Platoon inspected so tar which
has adequate reserve under training.

1. 'l'he Q.M., Capt. Vickers, is an officer with
a good many years experience. His stores and Records
are in good shape.
2. - MESSING - This was the first unit to state

the light of any other complaints which may be forthcoming
at the remalndar of the Inspections.
3. U.A.A.F.I. - Thera. was also the statement that
that the service in the II.A.A.F.I. was none too good, and
that it would be better if the unit could run their ovm
canteen. The institute in existence provides excellent
accomodation and and it is pointed out that
it would be llllpossible !'or the Seafcrths to Tun. a canteen
in opposition to the II.A.F.F.I.
4." Cl.OITI-IIHG. - British boots were reputed as being
