The knowledge claims made in the article found under the link above are:

The prime minister of Libya denied rumors that there was any engagement of the UAE
and Egypt in his country and that no military action had been taken two weeks before.
I believe that the information is relatively reliable as the source of this knowledge claim is the
prime minster of Libya who should have access to accurate accounts of the incident. He will
also know best what happened because his country is directly involved. However, this claim
is affected by opinion and is therefore personal knowledge, especially because the event is so
recent it is unlikely to be shared knowledge.
The U.A.Es involvement in the military strike is a falsification of the situation and this
incident was abused by the Islamists. There were far greater crimes, such as theft and the
destruction of homes.
I somewhat question the reliability and validity of this source because it seems very personal
and is therefore also personal knowledge. I do believe that this source is accurate in the first
part that the U.A.Es military strike on Libya is false and in the last part that there were fare
greater crimes in Libya. However, it may not immediately be Islamists abusing this incident.
This source is partly reliable because it comes from the prime minster of Libya who would
rather be in favor of his country.
US officials claimed last month that the UAE and Egypt were behind air strikes on
Islamist military targets in Libya. They said UAE pilots had twice flown over Tripoli from
Egyptian air bases.
I question the reliability of this personal knowledge claim because there is no evidence to
back up this claim and it is from the perspective of US officials that may not have directly
been there to experience the apparent incident. Such a claim might eb seen a lot more accurate
when mentioned in hindsight of the situation because more shared knowledge will be
available along with more facts.
The false events were a misrepresentation of the positive role played by the UAE and
Egypt.
This is said again by the Prime minister of Libya who may be trying to defend Egypt and the
U.A.E as to not get into a dispute with them. Therefore one might have to question the
reliability of the source. However, it does support the claim that the incident was
misinterpreted so the first half of the source can be considered to be true. This knowledge
claims is based on personal knowledge and is purely one sided.
Egypt and the UAE are not implicated in this and that there is no evidence
This seems to be a personal knowledge claim because the US believe otherwise. I think that
this claim can be trusted because it is stated by Libyas prime minste,r and if an incident had
actually occurred in Libya two weeks before he would not be defending the two countries that
are being blamed which are the U.A.E and Egypt.
Seven Libyans had been arrested in the UAE shortly after the raid on Tripoli
This is according to the article a personal knowledge claim however it may not be true to its
full extent. There is no evidence to back up this statement and the source may not be very
reliable as it is only backed up by one person.
Terrorism is a worldwide phenomenon that has to be fought.
This is definitely a shared knowledge claim because it is an issue that everyone agrees on. It is
a reliable knowledge claim and very valid in this article and it can be trusted, as it comes from
numerous different sources.
The strategy to get Libya out of its crisis involves militants laying down their weapons
and leaving the capital.
This knowledge is personal as it is mentioned by the prime minister of Libya only. It is
something that he believes will solve the issue and there is no prove that it is actually true.
Oil companies are completely under the control of the government. Rates of production
have reached 750,000 barrels a day.
This is a factual, shared knowledge claim made by the Libyan government and it can be
trusted as there will be evidence to back up this claim such as statistics of the oil companies
for example.
Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE looked forward to a unified Libya that occupied its
natural position in the Arab world and its regional sphere.
This is a personal knowledge claim based on the opinion of Sheikh Mohammed and it is what
he things the U.A.Es position will be when Libya is unified. It can be trusted as it is a first
hand account and will not have been altered however it is purely a personal statement that is
not backed by any facts or evidence.
