answered prayers by

miraculously healing
me. I offered her the way
of salvation. Gods grace
worked and she
welcomed Him into her
heart.
Her spiritual growth has
been so encouraging.
Now, two Christian
brothers and I pray with
her via phone each
week. She often
expresses her deep
feeling of gratitude by
saying, Thank you
Lord Jesus! Thank you
Lord Jesus! She got an
English-Indonesian
Bible and reads it.
PTL!
Even though Connie
and I are going through
testing with our
monthly support, the
Lord keeps our spirits
high because of what
HE is doing. Pray for
Mrs. E and for us.

News from The Hermans
ANOTHER LIFE CHANGED
About three months
ago, at Ohio State
University, the Lord
touched a young
Buddhist, Indonesian
student (V) and changed
his heart. On an earlier
occasion I had asked
him if he went to church
when he was in
Indonesia (prior to his
coming to OSU). His
answer then was, No, I
am a Buddhist.
The other Indonesian
Christian students
prayed, cared and
witnessed to V.
Each time I visited the
fellowship, I did the
same. The Lord, in His
mercy, led this young
man to Himself. Praise
the Lord! Now he is an
avid Christian.
Thank you for your real
part in this.
He always asks me
about the people for
whom I pray (i.e. the
sick, the lost). He also
prays for them. Praise
the Lord!

About 10 weeks ago, a
friend suggested that I
call a Muslim lady in
California (Mrs. E) who
was suffering from an
advanced stage cancer of
the breast, liver and
bone. After prayer, I did.
I shared with her how
our Lord had appeared to
me when I was saved at
age 21 and how He had

AN OLD HIGH SCHOOL FRIEND

Last April, while in E. Java, Dr.
Hary took me to visit Nugroho,
our old high school friend who
used to attend the house church
I pastored in Indonesia. He had
had a stroke and had fallen onto
the concrete floor. There was
some damage to his brain, and
for four weeks he lost his mind.
He was like a stone statue and
almost totally unresponsive,
unable to do anything for himself.
When Dr. Hary had visited Nug
the week before, taking him some
medicine, Nug had a blank stare
and wouldnt say a word. Dr.
Hary left the house in deep
sorrow.
However, about seven hours after
he left, at 3:00 a.m., April 4, our
Lord Jesus appeared to Nug
(despite 25 years of backsliding).
With His hand, the Lord touched
Nugs head and his mind was
instantly healed. All memory
came back, and his body was
made whole. When Nug looked
up, he saw the Lord. He told me,
His countenance is beyond awe-
some and beyond amazing! Nug
was totally restored in mind and
body. His wife was speechless
and just couldnt believe he could
take care of himself. Both his
wife and Dr. Hary shared the
miraculous story with me with
great joy and excitement. Our
prayer team, who also prayed for
Nug, was elated!
The day after he was healed, he
came to the house church fellow-
ship and shared his testimony. I
preached for 30 minutes and we
worshiped in song for almost
three hours. HIS presence was so
supernaturally sweet that 3 1/2
hours went by quickly and we
didnt even want to leave.
Connie and I appreciate your real part in our ministry.
We are in the planning stages and fundraising for my next
trip to Indonesia, leaving Sept. 17 and returning Nov. 5.
Please be in prayer about this.
