4 Materials
4.1Concrete
4.1.1 Strength grade of concrete should be determined according to normal value of cube crushing
strength of concrete. Cube test piece whose side length is 150mm is made and maintained
according to standard method; In 28 days, crushing strength that has 95 percent of factor of
assurance is measured using standard test method. This crushing strength is normal value of cube
crushing strength of concrete.
4.1.2 Strength grade of concrete of reinforced concrete structure should be not less than C15;
When HRB335 grade reinforced bar is used, strength grade of concrete should be not less than
C20; When HRB400 or RRB400 reinforced bar is used and member bear repetitive load, strength
grade of concrete should be not less than C40.
Note: When pit sand concrete or blast furnace slag concrete is used, strength grade of concrete should accord
with rules of special standard.
4.1.3 Normal value of compressive strength of axial center of concrete

Note: 1 When compressive member of axial center and noncentral compressive member of cast-in-situ
reinforced concrete, if long edge or diameter of section is less than 300mm, design value of strength of

4.2 Reinforced Bar
4.2.1 Reinforced bar of reinforced concrete structure and prestressed concrete structure should
accord with the following rules:
1 Ordinary steel bar should adopt HRB400 grade and HRB335 grade, and also adopt
HPB235 grade and RRB400 grade.
2 Prestressing tendon should adopt prestressed steel strand and steel wire, and also could
adopt heat-treated reinforced bar.
Note: 1 Ordinary steel bar are reinforced bar used in reinforced concrete structure and nonprestressing tendon
used in prestressed concrete structure;
2 HRB400 grade and HRB335 grade reinforced bar are HRB400 and HRB335 reinforced bar in existing
national standardGB1499; HPB235 grade reinforced bar is Q235 reinforced bar in existing national standard Hot
Rolled Plain Steel Bars for the Reinforcement of Concrete GB13013; RRB400 grade reinforced bar is
KL400 reinforced bar in existing national standard waste heat management reinforced bar used in reinforced
concrete GB13014;
3 Prestressed steel wires are smooth, spirally ribbed, and three-side indented, stress relieving steel wire in
existing national standard steel wire used in prestressed concrete GB/T5223;
4 When cold working reinforced bar and other reinforced bar, but they are not listed in this provision and
accord with the requirements of strength and extensibility, they should accord with rules of special standard.
4.2.2 Normal value of strength of reinforced bar should have no less than 95 percent of

factor of assurance.
Normal value of strength of hot rolled reinforced bar is determined according to yield
strength and is expressed by

Normal value of ordinary reinforced bar should adopt the value in Table 4.2.2-1;
Normal value of strength of prestressing tendon should adopt the value in Table 4.2.2-2.
Nominal sectional area, calculating sectional area and theoretical weight of reinforced
bar, steel strand and steel wire with various diameters should adopt the value in Annex B.
