Introduction The ASSURE model is an Instructional System Design (ISD), modified to be used by teachers in regular classroom. The ISD process is one which teachers and trainers can use to design and develop the most appropriate learning environment for their students. This process can be used in writing the lesson plan and in improving teaching and learning

English is taught as second language in Malaysia schools. The mastery of English is essential for pupils to gain access to information and knowledge written in English.
1. ANALYZE LEARNERS
ACTIVATE YOUR ENGLISH is designed for primary school pupils age 12 years old comprising of 15 children in each class. There will be two classes to be conducted during weekends at KPAKK. Total number of pupils will be 30 and they are from three nearby schools in Damansara Damai. The school population is made up by underprivileged background with little exposure to the English language. Most of their parents are menial workers with income less than RM800.00 per month. With meagre income these pupils are being deprived from learning the English language. This program is an effort to develop English proficiency among young children. The aim of this program is equip the pupils age 12 years old from this background with basic English language skills to enable them to communicate effectively and with confidence with peers and adults. This lesson is designed to focus around visual learners. 2. OBJECTIVES Instructional objectives: Discover the English language experiences That these pupils realise the importance of English language as communication tools 3
Able to display their creative experiences and exhibit their knowledge in the English language that they have learned in this program Recognize the learning English is fun.
3. SELECT MEDIA, MATERIALS, AND METHODS
Materials and equipment: Power Point Laptop Power point print out for students Hands out Internet connection to view interactive video from You Tube on learning English
4. UTILIZE MEDIA, MATERIALS, AND METHODS An interactive video from www.englishgrammarsecrets.com. will be used for auditory and visual illustrations of English language. Students will have their worksheets online to reiterate what they viewed on the interactive video. To follow the 5Ps process which includes the following:
1. Preview the technology, media, and materials - To give everything a thorough review 2. Prepare the technology, media, and materials - Gather all equipment that are needed - Create a list of materials and equipment to be used during the 4
lesson and an outline of presentation sequence of the activities. 3. Prepare an environment 4. Prepare the learners - To inform pupils of the learning objectives - To inform the learners up front how they will be assessed - To create a need to know by telling students how they will gain from the lesson 5. Provide the learning experience
5. REQUIRE LEARNER RESPONSE

Engage
(5 minutes) Teacher will introduce pupils to website
English Lesson on Basic English Grammar Simple Present Tense.
Explore (6 minutes) Pupils will view an interactive video on Basic English Grammar Simple Present Tense. Together they explore the language on simple sentences to build understanding of the language

Explain (7 Minutes Teacher will use the detailed tutorial to further explore and explain the grammar. Pupils will be reminded to refer to their hands out.
Elaborate 17 minutes Teacher will then use power point to explain in more detail on English grammar particularly in Present Tense.
Evaluate 2 minutes Teacher will recap the lesson, during this time pupils will answer on a simple online worksheet as a recap to the lesson. Pupils are encouraged to work in a group of three.
6. EVALUATE AND REVISE
Evaluate Towards the end of the lesson the teacher during the Evaluate part, will ask the pupils to recap the lesson on basic English Grammar in Simple Present Tense.
Reflection
Using the interactive website L is definitely an interesting materials for pupil to learn and explore through. The website is very informative with vast information available. Pupils can surf and explore on their own using school computer lab during their free time during school period or on Saturday classes. These pupils who are enrolled as members of KPAKK library so that they can also utilise the facilities provided at the college.
