The Evolution Slimhole CDHS Clutched Down
Hole Swivel Assembly is designed to be run in
conjunction with the Evolution Tubing Rotator on
pumping wells that utilize a progressive cavity
pump and an anti-rotation anchor.

The Slimhole design has all the same features as
our CDHS Swivel, but is used in applications where
a smaller OD is called for.
The CDHS has a shear release that allows the anti-
rotation anchor to be set. In addition, the CDHS
has a built-in clutch system that will not allow the
swivel to freely rotate if the anti-rotation anchor
fails.

freely rotate if the tubing anchor fails
Large bore for minimal fluid flow restriction
Simple shear replacement feature

Installation/
Setting
Procedure
1 Tighten all screws as a
double-check prior to
threading onto tubing.




2 Apply pipe dope to swivel
threads and thread the
swivel, box end up, onto
lower pin of tubing above
the pump, taking care to
torque as close to the upper
thread as possible. Tighten
to EUE specifications.

3 Attach the lower pin end of
the swivel to the box end of
the tubing connecting below
it, again taking care to
torque as close to the thread
as possible. DO NOT torque
through the swivel to tighten
the tubing string.

4 Run downhole to depth.
Rotate right to tighten the
tension or torque anchor as
per anchor
recommendations.

5 Pull upstrain to confirm the
anchor is properly anchored
in place.


6 Relax upstrain and rotate
right until the brass shear
screws shear in the tubing
swivel. At this point the
tubing swivel is freely
rotatable to the right, but a
mechanism in the swivel will
disallow swiveling to the
left.

7 Again pull upstrain to
required tension and lock-in
at surface.

Unsetting
Procedure
1 Relax upstrain and then
rotate to the left until the
tension anchor slips retract
from the casing, releasing the
tension anchor. Tubing is
ready to pull out of the hole..
