The Last Hour Will Strike on a Friday

The most supportive and confirmatory evidence of the time of the Last Hour that has come
to us is that it will strike on a Friday. However, no one knows which Friday it would be, or
which month it would be, or which year it would be, or which hour on Friday it will be.
This is known to Allaah alone, the Exalted and Most High.
Aboo Hurayrah ( ) narrated that Allaahs Messenger ( ) said, The
best day on which the sun has risen is Friday (Yawm al-Jumuah); on it Aadam ( )
was created; on it he was made to enter Paradise; on it he was taken out of it; and the Last
Hour will take place on no other day than Friday.

Aws ibn Aws ( ) narrated that Allaahs Messenger ( ) said, Among
the most excellent of your days is Friday (Yawm al-Jumuah): On it Aadam ( ) was
created; on it he was made to die; on it the Trumpet will be blown, and on it will be the
Swooning of mankind (as-Saqah); so invoke many blessings on me in it (i.e., on Fridays)
for your blessings will be presented to me. The people asked, O Messenger of Allaah,
how could our blessings on you be submitted to you when your body would have decayed?
The Prophet ( ) replied, Allaah has prohibited the earth from consuming the
bodies of the Prophets.

Aboo Hurayrah ( ) narrated that Allaahs Messenger ( ) said, The
best day on which the sun has risen is Friday (Yawm al-Jumuah): On it Aadam ( )
was created; on it he was made to descend [from Paradise]; on it his repentance was
accepted: on it he died; and on it the Last Hour will come, and there is no creature which is
not on the lookout from dawn to sunrise on Friday in apprehension and anticipation of the
Last Hour except Jinns and Mankind, and there is an hour on Friday during which no
Muslim will pray and ask anything from Allaah while he is in formal prayer (salaah) without
Allaah granting it to him.
