Mental activity.... Mind.... Images....
he human !eing"s thin#ing a$$aratus resem!les the !lan# $ages
o% a !oo# as long as it is not active& that is& as long as the
intellectual ca$acity is not develo$ed yet& thus as long as the
human !eing is not yet ca$a!le o% %ormulating thoughts.... 't the
tender age o% in%ancy& the thin#ing organs are not yet active and it
re(uires a certain time until the human !rain starts to ta#e in
outside im$ressions.
'nd this ha$$ens as %ollo)s* he human eye im$arts an o!served
image to the human !eing"s thin#ing a$$aratus& the !rain& and this
!egins its actual activity !y allo)ing the im$arted image to ta#e
e%%ect on a highly sensitive retina. his receives the image and
conscious im$ressions occur )hich emerge in the human !eing as
thoughts and e%%ectively are thus retroactive e%%ects o% the image in
the human !rain....
+very im$ression& in turn& ma#es itsel% identi%ia!le on the hitherto
em$ty s$ace o% the cere!ral corte, and can remain indeli!ly
engraved %or long times.... !ut it can also !ecome unrecognisa!le
through ne) im$ressions and vanish into the unconscious mind&
hence no longer entering a $erson"s consciousness.
's long as the human !eing is alive& constantly ne) layers #ee$
%orming %or the $ur$ose o% receiving and re%lecting ne)
im$ressions. -o)ever& the sensitivity increasingly lessens& there%ore
the images )ill no longer stand out so clearly in the rece$tive area
and there%ore are no longer a!le to im$art the im$ressions to the
thin#ing a$$aratus as strongly& )hich mani%ests itsel% as
%orget%ulness& as less intellectual ca$acity and as a reduction o%
rece$tivity %or im$ressions )hich re(uire a certain amount o%
concentration.
hen the thin#ing a$$aratus )ill only )or# slo)ly& the e,ternal
im$ressions are no longer ca$a!le o% causing increased activity. the
images )ill no longer !e clearly im$arted to the cere!ral corte, and
the )hole mental activity starts to slo) do)n....
he human !eing )ill no longer !e a!le to e%%ortlessly and easily
recall individual occurrences !ecause the images have !ecome
indistinct and !lurred& nevertheless& they )ill !e a!le to descri!e
earlier occurrences $recisely !ecause these images are indeli!ly
and clearly inscri!ed in his consciousness and can even !e !rought
to light %rom earliest childhood& !ecause the thin#ing a$$aratus can
!e im$ressed !y these clear images and thus every image a$$ears
in the %orm o% thoughts.
he $rocess o% mental activity can !e li#ened to a constant diving/
do)n and %etching/u$.... )here it concerns earlier e,$eriences.
0ountless images are engraved in countless thin layers& every
em$ty and !lan# s$ace has !een covered !y im$ressions im$arted
!y the human eye& and countless s$aces have !een covered !y
mental images )hich a $enetrating image %rom outside made
a$$ear again.
he mental %unction o% the designated organs is there%ore an
inherent activity& !rought a!out through e,ternal im$ressions and
im$lemented through the $erson"s )ill to allo) this or that image to
ta#e an e%%ect on him.
hese images need not al)ays $enetrate him through the eyes&
s$iritual images can also trigger the same $rocess& )hich the
human !eing con1ures u$ through his )ill and )hich there!y trigger
an associated mental activity.
hese organs are there%ore %irst $rom$ted to !ecome active
through a $erson"s )ill& and the thoughts su!se(uently ta#e the
direction )hich corres$onds to the $erson"s )ill. 2urely earthly
interests and imaginations )ill& understanda!ly& only im$art these
#inds o% images to the cere!ral corte,& and thus the mental activity
)ill there%ore e,$ress itsel% such that only thoughts )hich
corres$ond to these earthly notions )ill dominate a $erson.
he human !eing"s train o% thought is al)ays in agreement )ith his
)ill.... he )ill determines his mentality....'nd this is )hy the
human !eing is also res$onsi!le %or his thoughts& since it is u$ to
him to im$art images to his s$iritual eye& regardless o% )hat #ind
they are.
But he should not %orget that too many earthly images reduce
the capacity for impressions and that it is there%ore to his o)n
disadvantage i% the mental activity reduces accordingly and& in the
end& is no longer rece$tive to s$iritual truths& i.e. mental
transmissions.
'll thoughts )ill there%ore only ever e,$ress that )hich moves a
$erson most.... and thus the human !eing& having !een %urnished
)ith all a!ilities !y the divine 0reator.... )hich also includes the
mental activity.... is %ully res$onsi!le %or his thoughts& !ecause it is
u$ to him to %ormulate them according to his )ill....
