Oct. 1, Wed.-There will be NO Youth Bible Study.
Oct. 5, Sun.- is World Communion Sunday. We will join with Christians around
the world in a service of communion and foot washing.
Oct. 8, Wed.-7 p.m. - Fall Bible Study group that will reflect on scriptures related
to men and women and leadership. This was in response to discussion at the May
business meeting. An information letter was distributed in church mailboxes in
August. If you have not yet responded, but would have interest in participating, you
are welcome. The letter, and papers with scripture readings with space for written
responses to be done ahead of time, are under the mailboxes. If you have other
questions, please see Pastor Phil. The remaining sessions are planned to meet in the
fellowship hall on October 22, and November 5.
Oct. 10 & 11, Fri. & Sat.-Hinkletown Mennonite School Benefit Auction. The
theme is The Great Outdoors with many different outdoor recreation and gardening
items along with traditional quilts, collectibles and much more. Fri.: Pork BBQ
dinner (dine-in or drive-thru) from 4-7 p.m. live auction 7-8:30 p.m. Sat.: 9 a.m.
auction startspecial outdoor items at noon, quilts at 1:30 p.m. Food served all day.
Childrens activities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Martin & Rutt, Auctioneers. For more

education!
Oct. 10, 11, & 12, Fri. & Sat. 7 p.m., Sun. 10 a.m.-We invite your prayers and
participation in our church's annual Spiritual Renewal Services. This year our
resource person is David Pegarella, who serves as pastor of Nanticoke Christian
Fellowship in Luzerne County near Wilkes-Barre, PA. A snack will follow the Fri.
& Sat. evening services.


-The Missionary Messenger is a bi-monthly magazine for all ages (published by
EMM) containing many stories of how God is at work around the world. Our
church provides subscriptions for anyone who wishes to receive this publication. If
you would like to have your name added or removed from the subscription list,
please let Darlene McCosby know no later than Sunday, Sept. 28
