PREMARITAL SEX AMONG STUDENTS

Premarital sex is known well as sexual intercourse engaged by two people who are
unmarried. Nowadays , Premarital sex is a growing problem among students. More and
more teenagers are starting to have sex with their sexual partners and friends everyday .
Meeting and mating ritual is becoming a trend among youths especially students. Premarital
sex among students became a big threat to our future generation and nation.

In my opinion, there are many factors that facilitate to premarital sex among students. These
includes lack of parental control , peer influence , media influence and alcohol use. Parents
are often busy at their own personal matters and neglecting their children. Adolescence can
be a confusing and unsettling time for young adults due to their physical and hormone
changes after they reach their puberty. So,adolescence always seeking for freedom. By
granting excessive freedom ,they are free to explore without proper guidance. It will make
them discover sex and this leads to curiousity thus experimentation occur.

Mostly,students got engaged in open sex after influenced by their peers like roommates and
classmates to imitate their friends action towards sexual activity. Moreover, students also
may engage in pre-marital sex with another person for get intimate pleasure. Students also
behave beyond their control after drinking alcohol. Men anticipate more powerful, sexual and
aggressive feeling after drinking alcohol. So,they have sex without realise due to their
powerful sexual urge feelings.

In other hand,premarital sex also can lead to some risky effects. Premarital sex among
students can easily leads to teen pregnancy where at a tender age they are not mentally
ready to have a child since their maturity level at age of a child. Student who engage in
premarital sex will have a high risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Students gain stress anf
pressure by having sex before marriage. They will effected by mentally and emotionally.

In my view , i recommended parents should give more love and attention to their kids. They
also shoud discuss about sex education and the implication of pre-marital sex with their kids.
They also should advise them to defend premarital sex. Healthy sexuality awareness can
overcome the premarital sex among students.

In brief, premarital sex will destroy our students life in future. Thus, society, teacher, parents,
government organisation and non government organisation should look this issue seriously
and take valuable action to overcome premarital sex among students.
