PROFILE The Foundation for Development and Technological Innovation (FUNDITEC) is a not for profit public equivalent body that has as its main mission to contribute to economic and social development via the promotion of technology and innovation.
In this way, FUNDITEC supports and collaborates with Public Administration Agencies; Enterprises; Public and Private Organisations; Regional, Local and International entities; Technology and Research Centres; Universities and Third Sector actors in the fields of innovation policy development, cooperative projects, SMEs support among many other social and economic areas.

Energy efficiency and environmental sustainability: environmental protection and the development of innovative green solutions are unavoidable requirements for the enhancement of the regions development and the establishment of a new developmental approach based on the implementation of social innovation. It is for this reason that the Foundation has become more active in the implementation of projects that comprehend these goals. FUNDITEC has also considered that training and capacity building are fundamental issues for the creation of a more sustainable, innovative and fair society. Fields Transfer learning methodologies and innovative principles from the secondary sector to the tourism industry in order to allow the development of new skills for a new job in this sector Project Description Objectives Implementing the ECVET principles of formulation of learning outcomes, design of units, templates for the memorandum of understanding and the learning agreement for the Tourism Energy Manager qualification. The methodology for assessment, validation and recognition of units will be created through pilot testing that will improve the ECVET system for tourism and of other sectors. Creation of an e-learning platform that will be tested in the consortium. Target Group The INTASS project intends to fill this gap in Hungary by transferring 2 existing programmes addressed to innovation intermediaries, universities, SMEs and Big Industries (BIs) for developing awareness of the commercial value of IP and the appropriate skills for designing and implementing exploitation strategies for their business. The concerned programmes have been developed by EU15 partners summing up their experience and know how. The programmes will be used as base for tailoring training initiative in the transferee country in line with the regional context and actual needs. The project addresses directly: Intermediary organizations Training agencies Research centres, universities; and indirectly: Personnel of SMEs and BIs; Researchers; Inventors.
Activities Tangible and intangible outcomes: designing of 2 regional modular training programmes; localization of information material on IPR issues addressed to intermediaries and SMEs/BIs; provision and localization of teaching materials, tools and advice (training toolkit); training the trainers for successfully run the programme; pilot testing and regional curricula fine-tuning; training programme mainstreamed.

Activities Ip4inno proposes to address: Building a Consortium using a pooling approach, integrating an important number of actors undertaking similar or complementary activities in the field of innovation. Project Description Objectives The DIAGINTEC project conducted a comprehensive computerised diagnostic of innovation and technology services among SMEs to be used as a basis for the development of strategic innovation plans among the former.
The project developed mechanisms of support for SMEs in the definition of their innovation strategies and provided tools for the improvement of the firms competitive orientation. To this end, the project provided SMEs with a comprehensive assessment on technology innovation aimed at highlighting the firms weaknesses and strengths. Project Description Objectives Funditec worked in the European project Interregional Entrepreneurial Teams (E-Teams), conducted between September 2004 and October 2007, and the participating universities, companies and public institutions from 9 different countries, that wanted to exchange experiences and to demonstrate what business needs to be transferred to political entities to promote policies that support SMEs.
This project created a platform for cooperation between European SMEs to provide innovative solutions that were presented at the European Commission with the aim of taking into account for policies to support SMEs in cohesion programs European Union 2007-2013. The E-Teams are working groups composed of between 6 and 10 SMEs, together with representatives of the administration and the universities, each of the participating countries who worked in coordination with the so-called MAPs, groups which bring together representatives of the administration, university and private sector, and exploit the information provided by the e-Teams to design proposals for new policies to promote SMEs. MAP Funditec was part of Spain.

Activities The overall aim of the operation is to create sustainable regional and interregional infrastructure(s) encouraging entrepreneurship as well as development and internationalisation in SMEs . Since the creation of the State Council of the Spanish Government for Corporate Social Responsibility, the Spanish government has become a firm supporter of CSR as a tool to enhance competitiveness. Funditec, aware of the need to improve CSR values among the business environment, designed the CREARSE project intended to make visible the efforts made by SMEs in this respect and in coherence with the strategic vision of public administration.
By means of the CREARSE project, Funditec developed a web site including variegated content related to Corporate Social Responsibility issues; this, allowed SMEs to implement CSR-related innovation and strategies in their strategies. The absence of a regulatory framework for CSR at the time, were the grounds to add a virtual space allowing companies to understand the benefits and opportunities posed by CSR and the various initiatives they could take in this regard.
With this in mind, the project had as its paramount objective the creation of a Cluster of CSR-sensitive Small and Medium Enterprises

Project Description t Objectives ASESTIC was one of the first projects in Spain designed to enhance the implementation of ICT solutions among SMEs by means of the development of an innovative information security management system based on the UNE-ISO/IEC 27001:2007 standard.
In the context of the interest of the Government of Spain in this field, the ASESTIC project, developed and led by Funditec, aimed at the implementation of an innovative system of information management among a critical mass of companies in the territory. The initiative was implemented thanks to the funding of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce of Spain.
To this end, project implementation Funditec worked closely with two leading consultants in this area, ensuring that the undertakings obtained a quantum leap in the systems of information management in the region.

Project Description Objectives The CORES project was a supra-regional project, developed in two stages (CORES Project I and II) implemented in 4 Spanish regions and that counted with the participation of a multisectoral number of SMEs.
The project's objective was to develop a communication tool (based on an online application)to assist SMEs and business development agent in the disseminating of best practices on the field of Corporate Social Responsibility - CSR among small and medium enterprises.
In order to achieve these results, Funditec developed a methodology and a virtual platform in which the participant actors could disseminate, publish and identify the most relevant best practices in the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility. Funditec, in collaboration with other agents in the region worked on a study of the art of ecological products and services in order to inform companies (in particular SMEs) on the added value provided by eco- friendly products and services.
With this intention Funditec collaborated in the development of a methodology that would offer participant SMEs accessible and easy-to-use tools for the identification of market opportunities. These tools required a minimal investment of resources from the incumbent firms. This methodology used the ISO 14062 regulation due to SMEs familiarity with them.
The work performed by Funditec allowed 4 SMEs in Galicia and 6 SMEs in Catalonia to use an accessible Ecodesign-oriented methodology and allowed them to endow their products and services with a needs-sensitive design.

Project Description Objectives
The European project PRISMA, financed within the INTERREG SUDOE programme, was aimed at the integration of Social Corporate Responsibility values within the strategic framework of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Southwest of Europe.
Funditec, as a project collaborator in the region of Catalonia, took part, together with the rest of European partners, in a multiregional study of SCR perceptions in the participant regions as well as in the identification of relevant best managerial practices.
This study was aimed at the promotion of active policies and awareness raising activities in the region on SCR benefits for firms competitiveness. At the same time, Funditec collaborated in the development of a tool gathering regional procedures and initiatives related to Social Corporate Responsibility.
Throughout the project Funditec accompanied to more than 15 companies in the region of Catalonia.
