Building on its ongoing success and utilising Cityscapes extensive network of real estate
industry professionals across the region, Cityscape Qatar continues to go from strength-to
strength, as the must attend event for real estate stakeholders in Qatar and beyond.
Te third annual, Cityscape Qatar was under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah
Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Tani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, illustrating the
importance the government places on the real estate sector. Te ocial opening ceremony
was conducted by His Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Tani, Minister of
Economy and Commerce, who toured the exhibition meeting with exhibitors and participants.
Capitalizing on the market factors that make Qatar one of the most prominent real estate
markets in the world, Cityscape Qatar once again presented a World-Class Business to
Business Platform to cater to the specic needs of the market and welcomed close to 6,000
participants from 47 countries. Participants included: government bodies, master and private
developers, architects, consultants, real estate investors, developers, nanciers, corporate end
users, major retailers, to name but a few. Te event concluded on a high note of success with a
signicant number of major projects launched and strategic agreements signed.
Te three days of Cityscape Qatar featured an unprecedented line up of opportunities for
the regional real estate community. Te event allowed delegates and visitors to engage in a
dynamic environment including a number of features listed below, that gave an insight into the
future of Qatari and Middle East real estate.

Convention Centre to celebrate winning Real
Estate developments at the third edition of
the Cityscape Awards for Real Estate in Qatar.
Open only to Qatar-based projects, a large
number of entries were drawn from the top
real estate development companies and
project owners, with the winners selected
by a panel of top international judges.
Applications for the awards demonstrated
the highest level of excellence across
six criteria, including design, planning,
construction, fullling the brief, management
and sustainability.
Te Qatar Real Estate Summit saw its third
edition conclude to resounding success
during Cityscape Qatar 2014. Te Summit,
which took place on 2-3 June 2014, was
inaugurated by HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim
bin Mohamed Al-Tani, the Minister of
Economy and Commerce with a speech
focusing on Qatars real estate sector
challenges, as well as recovery and prosperity
in the coming years, thanks to infrastructure
projects that have attracted large numbers of
workers and expatriates.
Te Summit hosted many of Qatars
inuential real estate developers, including
Eng. Abdulla Al-Mehshadi, CEO, Msheireb
Properties, and Fahad Al-Ghunaim, Chairman
and CEO, First Qatar, in addition to over 40
local and international speakers representing
the entire spectrum of real estate
professionals and experts.
Cityscape Qatar also featured, for the rst
time, the Cityscape Qatar Retail Forum on
4 June 2014. Te forum, the rst platform
of its kind in Qatar entirely focusing on the
Qatari retail scene, hosted retail experts from
Qatar and the region to discuss opportunities
for retailers, mall developers and mall
operators. Speakers included Shem Krey,
Deputy Managing Director, UCC and Mall
of Qatar, Phil McArthur, Managing Director,
McArthur+Company, Eamon Kelly, General
Manager, Lagoona and Duncan Gray, Director,
Head of Retail MENA, Colliers International.

the use of various marketing channels which
is specifically designed to target the correct
audience. This leads to significant media
coverage prior, during and after the event.

60 agpoles and seniors were strategically
placed on selected locations in Doha which
had high volumes of trac at all times
Cityscape Qatar marketed to the public
24 hours a day, seven days a week by
the use of outdoor advertising to create
brand awareness.

Ads were placed in over 35 trade publications
and 7 main daily newspapers in Qatar
The Cityscape Qatar marketing strategy
consisted of a print advertising campaign
which extended itself across the leading
international and regional trade publications
and magazines. Newspaper ads appeared
as part of the visitor promotional campaign,
covering the most renowned titles: Al Rayah,
Al Sharq and Gulf Times.

156 radio spots were placed on Qatar Radio
(Arabic) and QBS Radio (English)
Proven to be an excellent medium reaching
out to the local audience, Cityscape Qatar
made use of an extensive radio campaign on
the countrys premier channels, consisting
of commercials and interviews with key
exhibitors in the weeks prior to the event.
