Synopsis
Zombie Panic! Source is a first person shooter which
takes place within the dreaded zombie outbreak. The
mod aims to provide a unique eperience for players!
allowin" them to play as the survivors! a "roup of
humans that attempt to survive the outbreak! or the
zombies! which plan to eat said survivor#s brains.

5n =ast %an Standin"! Survivors and Zombies are en"a"ed in a life or
death stru""le in the area they#re currently in. %ost players will
start out as Survivors while a certain number of players will spawn
as zombies. The "oal for the Survivors is to kill off all the zombies
from the map! or survive for at least fifteen minutes. >or the zombie
team! they merely have to devour all livin" survivors to win.

5n DbEective maps! Survivors are required to complete certain tasks
in order to survive. 5t may sound easy! but think a"ain when you#re
bein" chased by a neverendin" swarm of undead foes! Zombies will
have unlimited lives so be quick on accomplishin" the obEectives!

6efore the Zombie Dutbreak! they used to have normal lives.
/omin" from all walks of life! from normal civilians to cops! they#re
all determined to live and fi"ht for another day! hopin" they can
someday escape the area they#re currently in.
Zombies
Four friends. People you knew for years. They#re dead now! and
they#re plannin" on to feast on your brains! %ost of the zombies
you#ll face in Zombie Panic! Source would usually be the normal
#shamblin"# kind but occasionally you mi"ht be cau"ht in a conflict
a"ainst the carrier!! The abomination that started the whole
outbreak! 5f you do "et into a battle with the carrier! Try to stay
as far as you can! because you mi"ht "et infected if he mana"es to
swipe at you enou"h!
0eapons25tems
Pistols
$an"in" from the diminutive PP4 to the Glock! Pistols are the most
abundant firearm that you could possibly find in Zombie Panic!
Source. They have a hi"h rate of fire and can easily take down one
or two zombies if you#re by yourself.
Shot"uns
The classic zombie killin" weapon. The winchester and $emin"ton
.'3 fit under this cate"ory. They have a slow firin" rate but can
deal massive dama"e within a certain ran"e.
%a"nums
0eapons such as the Taurus $evolver are etremely deadly
weapons! powerful enou"h to kill zombies with one sin"le
headshot. The power thou"h! is offset by the fact that the
weapons and ammunition itself is scarce and hard to find.
0eapons25tems 9/ontinued;
$ifles
>ully automatic! hi"h rate of fire! these beauties can deal a ton of
punishment on the undead horde. The %P)! +4@8'. +nd %8+& fit
under this cate"ory. +s with the ma"nums! these weapons mi"ht be a
bit hard to find! >ire in short bursts!
%elee
Sometimes! you#ll run out of ammunition. 7ventually you#ll mi"ht
have to fall back on the most simple weapon of allH the melee
weapon. There are several different types of melee weapons to
choose from! and all of them have their uses in special
circumstances.
7plosives
7plosives are a zombie#s worst ni"htmare. 5f used properly! they
can kill entire hordes of the undead. 5mprovised 7plosive ,evices
and Grenades fit under this cate"ory. 6e careful not to "et
cau"ht in the eplosion thou"h!
(ealth 5tems24evlar 1ests
/ontary to popular belief! health items will BDT stop infection.
They can however! prolon" your life by restorin" your hit points
that you#ve lost from fi"htin" those pesky zeds. 4evlar vests can
also protect you by lessenin" the amount of dama"e you receive.
Survivor +bilities
6arricadin"
Survivors can create defensive positions by formin" up barricades
which would block specific entry points that the zombies would use
to reach them. 5n order to barricade! press ( to holster your
weapon! find some physics prop! and ri"ht click on the physics prop
to the intended area on which you would want to set up the
barricade. $epeat and rinse until the barricade looks sturdy
enou"h. 6arricade when it#s safe to do so. +lternatively you can
search for red hammers which will allow you to place a plank on
the area of your choice. (it $ to rotate the board! $i"ht click to
chan"e board size!
Panic
Survivors can panic to "ain a much needed speed boost at the cost
of everythin" they are carryin". To panic! press P. not
only do panickin" survivors drop their inventory! but they also
scream in fear. This could
announce your presence to other zombies so be careful when you
use this ability. $emember! (e who runs away lives to fi"ht another
day.
1oice /ommands
Anlike zombies! survivors can still communicate to one another
via voice commands! - and / will allow you to request ammo!
help! and so on without the need of stoppin" to type. 6e
careful thou"h! it mi"ht not be smart to use voice commands
while you#re hidin"!
Zombie +bilities
(ealth $e"eneration
Zombies will slowly re"ain health overtime to simulate the
hardiness of a reanimated corpse. This can make lon" battles with
the undead very dan"erous.
Zombie 1ision
Zombies can use their uncanny si"ht to illuminate the area and see
survivors. To activate Zombie vision! press > while playin" as a
zombie. Survivors will usually be hi"hli"hted in a solid red color!
makin" it easy to spot and stalk them. 5nfected survivors will show
up as "reen on both zombie vision and on the scoreboard.
5nfection
5nfection can be considered to be one of the most useful tools in
the undead arsenal a"ainst the livin". Dnly the carrier can make
use of this feature. 6y default! The /arrier will have a &3I chance
of infectin" survivors with his attacks. 5nfected survivors show up
as "reen in zombo vision and on the scoreboard. They only have a
small random amount of time before they fully succumb to its
effects! causin" a lot of panic and chaos to the survivors if they
happen to turn while nearby survivors are in the vicinity.
=un"e
Zombies close the distance on survivors by lun"in" at them. To use
sprint! press and hold shift This will temporarily increase speed
for as lon" as shift is held down or as lon" as the zombie has
+ppetite. The attack requires the use of its >eed@o@%eter and
upon its
depletion a zombie must attack at a livin" survivor to replenish his
>eed@o@%eter.
Tips
Survivor tips
$eload when it#s safe to do soH Fou wouldn#t want to "et cau"ht with
an empty weapon.
Stick with at least one other personH Fou won#t die as fast if you stick
to"ether with someone else.
/onserve your ammunitionH Those bullets are scarce! save them!
/onserve your staminaH Fou can#t run if you#re tired! walk!
,o not hoard weapons and2or ammunitionH Fou will be killed fast and
shunned by your team.
Four phone can detonate eplosive ieds that you#ve placed around in
the map. Fou can place an ied and then detonate it anytime by pressin" ?
to brin" up your phone! and pressin" %ouse* to detonate the ied.
5f there#s no other choice! if you have no weapons! press P to panic! 5t#ll

Zombie Tips
Ase zombie visionH (it > to enable it! it#ll allow you to easily spot
survivors.
,o BDT kill the infectedH 5nfected players show up as "reen on your
scoreboard2zombie vision.
Try to stick to"ether in a hordeH + horde of zombies will strike fear in
any type of survivor! makin" them easy to kill.
Ase lun"e when you#re close enou"h to attack a survivor.
+s carrier! use hit and run tactics.
5f the survivors created a tou"h barricade which is blockin" your path
use your zombie swipe to quickly brin" it down. $i"ht clickin" on the
props will allow you to punt the obEect with "reat stren"th.
+lternatively you can use uber push to take it down even faster! by
pressin" shift while ri"ht clickin".
