TERM PAPER
Introduction:
A term paper is a documented research outcome of students idea at the end of a
term/semester, which reflects their enhanced knowledge and understanding of a
phenomena/process/novel concept/ innovative self-generated idea. It is based on an
independent research into one of the themes either suggested by the student or by the
supervisor. In a term paper a student should demonstrate his/her ability of finding the
relevant sources, selecting, consolidating and logically organizing the information on the
topic, data gathering, processing, summarizing and analyzing.
Objectives:
erm paper should facilitate to develop a clear, crispy, deepest and genuine
understanding of a specific problem to be pursued in near future either as a pro!ect/ a
basis for future research.
It should be a consolidated outcome of students perception of a task / phenomena /
innovative concept from the literature survey done during their course element
"#eminar of their previous semester.
It should create a track for students applicability and adaptability with the learned
concepts targeted towards an innovative outcome and its realization.

Altogether it is oriented to develop the following skills among students$
In-depth study of a selected topic, which is creative, original in approach, insightful
and to be defended strongly throughout the paper / document.

theoretical and e&perimental approaches.

Analysis and synthesis caliber leading to ac)uire the caliber to tackle the toughest
situations ahead during their research.
*lanning and implementation of a research and making conclusions.
argeted to publish the idea through a simulation based analysis or developing a
theoretical prototype for implementation in near future.

Assess!ent:

+o e&ternal assessment at the end of the semester. he internal assessment can be
submitted for ,-- marks.
#tudent should present and do their work, planned earlier by them in coordination
with their guides, in respective labs which should be duly attested by concerned lab
personnel and endorsed by coordinators/ instructor allocated as per time table in
respective periods. *rogress report is to be collected from coordinators/instructor by
administrative in-charges and reviewed by ./0
