01 Objective : To promote friendship and cultural exchanges between the peoples of Singapore &
Japan.

02 Dates : Semi-Finals: Sun 21 Sep 2014, 7.00pm at JCS, Midland House #03-03.
Finals : Sat 11 Oct 2014, 7.30pm at Jubilee Hall (Raffles Hotel).


03 Registration : a) Entry forms are available at:-
The Japanese Cultural Society, Singapore (JCS)
Midland House, 112 Middle Road #05-00 Singapore 188970.
Tel: 63383428/63388964.

b) A fee of $5.00 is payable upon registration.
c) A recent photograph of each contestant is required (size: 4cmx3cm).
d) Application must be submitted to JCS not later than 12 September 2014.


04 Rules & : a) Open to all Singapore citizens and Permanent residents, 18 years and above.
Regulations b) Japanese natives, Professional singers and ex-winners of the contest are not
eligible to participate.
c) All songs must be presented in Japanese.
d) Contestants may perform as a soloist, as a duet or in a group, whether in a cappella,
or with the accompaniment of musical instruments or Karaoke CDs.
e) All contestants must submit a copy of the song lyrics together with the application
form upon registration.
f) In addition, contestants performing with the aid of Karaoke CDs must also submit 2
identical good quality CDs with audio tapings from a good sound system for use in the
competition.
g) NO CHANGING OF SONG OR CD is allowed after registration.

05 Type of Songs : Japanese Pop Songs & Enka


06 Accompaniment : Musical accompaniment in the form of CD to be provided by contestants if performing
with Karaoke CDs.


07 Panel of Judges : A panel of 5 judges appointed by the organizing committee.

08 Prizes : 1ST PRIZE - $1,000.00 CASH and valuable prize from the organizers.

2ND TO 5TH PRIZES Domestic electronic products sponsored by Japanese enterprises
plus Cash from the organizers.

All finalists will receive a consolation prize from the organizers.

09 Others : The organizers reserve the right to amend/or alter the above without notice.
