Project Objectives
The main objective for this project is to build two networks that will manage and maintain
connection between employees, manage a database, and provide a entertainment service to guests.
The project consists of two networks in which the employees will have a physical network that will be
connected to a server. The clients will have a wireless network in which they can have the entertaining
service and the internet. The objectives for this project include:
Do a site map and analysis of the existing property.
Complete installation of network materials.
Complete configuration of wired network.
Complete configuration of the wireless network
Complete the verification process.
Seek approval of project.
Project Assumptions and Constraints
Assumptions
Database software should be working correctly once all the information is put in.

System communication should be working right after installed.

Wired network should be easy to set up.

Wireless network should be working in every unit.

Media server connection should work from every unit.

The backup server should be working after configured with the wired network.

The restoration server should be able to store data from the wired network and the wireless
network.
Constraints
Pulling wire might be difficult in some areas.
Configuration of connectivity might be difficult.
Building the media server might be complicated.
There could be some delays in making the database working properly and set up to the clients
standard.

Project Risks

Risk Grading Key:

Risk Comments
I rated the risk of the materials not being delivered on time a low risk but a high level of
seriousness because it will influence the deadline for the project and it will delay some services
for the customer.
I rated the risk of the equipment being shipped being damaged while shipping a low risk but a
high level of seriousness because if the equipment is damaged it won't work properly and the
warranty might be invalid if not returned on time. This will also delay some deliverables from
happening due to the waiting of new equipment being shipped.
I rated the risk of the equipment not working properly a low risk but a high serious level because
it will cause other equipment not to work and will slow down the configuring process for me
when it will be time to configure the system.

Project Lessons Learned

The lessens learned in relation to the objectives is that my team accomplished
all of the objectives without any major problems.

My team and I were able to meet all the clients timeline requirements and was
able to make everything working.

In the configureation part of the project, my team ran into minor problems with
commands not working, but was able to do research and fix the problem to
operating status.

My team and I had a hold back of 4 hours due to the change in the media
entertainment server. The media server that is installed now is new on the
market and I have no experience with it. It is now up and running for all the
guests.

The routers for the different networks worked great and had no major
problems.

The database software was installed and was working great for the front clerks
to get aware of the program before the training session.

The wireless router had some issues with the wireless connection getting to all
of the property, but with the approval of the owner we added some wireless
range extenders throughout the property to meet the wireless network
objective.
