CAMILLE ROSE GARCIA is the child of a Mexican
activist flmmaker and a muralist/painter. She
apprenticed at age 14 on murals while growing up in
Orange County, visiting Disneyland and going to punk
shows.
Mirror, Black Mirror presents new artwork chronicling
the prolifc and life-changing time period of 2007-
2011, when Garcia ed LA and moved to a cabin in the
Northern California woods.
The natural world inspires this work: her themes are
disenchantment with modernity and the problems of
becoming too removed from the natural world.
Garcias layered, broken narrative paintings of
wasteland fairy tales are inuenced by William
Burroughs cut-up writings and surrealist flm, as well
as vintage Disney and Fleischer cartoons, acting as
critical commentaries on the failures of capitalist
utopias, blending nostalgic pop culture references with
a satirical slant on modern society.
This collection includes artwork from exhibitions in New York, Berlin, and
Los Angeles, Escape to Darlingtonia (2007) The Grand Illusion (Berlin, 2008)
Ambien Somnambulants,(New York, 2008), The Hydra of Babylon, (LA, 2009),
and Snow White and the Black Lagoon (LA, 2011).
Garcias work has been displayed internationally and in numerous magazines
including Juxtapoz, Rolling Stone, and Modern Painter, and is included in the
collections of the LACMA, The Resnick Collection and the San Jose Modern
Museum of Art. Her book, The Illustrated Alice in Wonderland (Harper Collins)
was a NYT Bestseller. The recipient of the Stars of Design award from the
Pacifc Design Center, she now lives in the Pacifc Northwest.

Journey presents the paintings of renowned
tattooer Mike Davis in a beautiful hardcover
edition.
Painting in oils, Davis captures mysterious
scenes in the style of the Dutch Masters.
He combines arcane personal symbols with
social commentary to create vivid, narrative
work. Witness burning birdhouses, cannon-
toting eggs, anthropomorphous insects, and
skeletons holding what may be the keys to
it all.
Will the forlorn subjects who populate his
paintings spill their secrets? What happened
among the rubble and where are the travelers

Located in Woodinville, Washington, The
Thanatos Archive houses an extensive
collection of early post-mortem, memorial,
and mourning photographs dating as far
back as the 1840s. The online version of
the archive, hosted at Thanatos.net since
2002, offers a searchable database of
over 2,300 scanned images, with scans of
new acquisitions being added on a regular
basis. In addition to the main online archive,
hundreds of additional images and material
can be found in the community discussion
forum, including hi-resolution enlargements,
genealogical information, and more.

BACKORDERS/PRE-ORDERS
Backorders and pre-orders are binding
unless other arrangements have been
made. Your sales person will contact
you when a signicant number of back-
orders have arrived.
SHIPPING
Most US domestic orders ship via UPS,
although Priority Mail is also an option.
Unspecied orders will be shipped via
UPS. We do NOT ship via DHL or media
mail. For small overseas orders, we will
help you decide the most cost-effec-
tive method if you ship direct. Many
overseas customers use a freight for-
warding company. Please let us know
your freight forwarder of choice. Local
accounts may make arrangements to
pick up orders at Last Gasp.
RETURNS
We like to minimize returns. However,
if you must return something, please
follow these guidelines:
Defects: Full credit is issued for books
returned due to faulty printing, binding,
or other manufacturer defects. This is
only good for books returned within six
weeks of our shipping date and must
include the invoice number.
Overstock returns: All overstock returns
must be authorized prior to return
and must arrive in MINT condition
for credit. Any shelf worn, stickered,
damaged or otherwise unsalable books
will be returned to you and not credited.
When returning overstock or damages,
pack books tightly in a sturdy, new BOX,
with lots of packing material for safe
shipment. A 15% reshelving fee will be
charged for overstock returns. No credit
will be issued for overstock returns
received more than 6 months after in-
voice date. Include invoice number with
package.
