HP Insight Remote Support Advanced is integrated with HP Systems Insight
Manager (SIM). Each customer is required to supply their own SIM installation
with their own dedicated Central Management Server (CMS). This can be a
dedicated virtual device.
HP Insight Remote Support 7.0.8 requires a Windows HP ProLiant server,
which can be shared with other applications. This can be a virtual device.
Optionally, integration into HP SIM and HP Support Center can be configured.
For security purposes, both HP Insight Remote Support solutions require
access to an encrypted outbound initiated Internet connection
(HTTPS/443) only

All information collected by Insight
Remote Support is encrypted and
digitally signed using an X.509
certificate prior to transport to HP.
Data is sent to HP via secure HTTPS
(SSLv3 or TLS) and is stored in a secure
data facility in one of HPs corporate
data centers.

Number of Monitored devices
Insight RS 7.0.8 has been optimized to support up to 2,500 devices per Hosting Device. Normally,
each physical device counts as one when calculating the overall maximum device number. There
are some exceptions that need to be taken into account as listed below:
HP ProLiant Gen8 servers using the embedded iLO 4 capabilities when AHS collections are turned on, count as
5 devices (without AHS collections, each server counts as one device)
Each networking switch counts as 4 devices
Each HP StoreVirtual 4xxx Storage Node counts as 30 devices
Each HP StoreAll Network Storage System counts as 3 devices
Each Tape Library counts as 4 devices
Each HP StoreSure 2000/MSA device counts as 4 devices
Each HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array counts as 8 devices
Each VMware vCenter server installation counts as 4 devices
Any device that is configured as part of a SAN collection, adds an additional count of 4 devices

Hosting Device requirements
The Hosting Device must be a physical HP ProLiant server running Windows 2008/2012 or on a
Windows VMware Guest. The table outlines the minimum and recommended Hosting Device
specifications :
