Sea and Mountain
Catalonias North-East covers every landscape scale:
High mountain, coast, countryside and mediterranean
forest. The high quality of its setting has atracted pro-
fessional cyclists from all over the world looking for
good winter weather and a varied orography.
Right now 70 professionals are living in Girona. Johnny
Weltz was the pioneer and Lance Armstrong, Dan
Martin (who lives there all year long) or David Millar,
are the most integrated.
MEDIEVAL
VILLAGES
A tile of vineyards, cereal, fruit, all kind of vege-
tables and even rice fields, sorrounded by an
endless number of medieval villages, roma-
nesque churches and old castles, that will set
us out on a time travel in this historical land in-
habited in past centuries by iberian, greek,
roman and modern pirates.
