3. FLORENCE FLASK is used as a container for boiling liquid solution. It is used for measuring large
quantity of liquid.

4. FISH TAIL is a lab apparatus inserted into the Bunsen Burner to spread the flame.

5. FUNNEL is a cone-shaped vessel ending in a tube at the base. It is used for pouring liquids or
powders through a small opening and to hold the filter paper in filtration.

dispensing. It is only used for containing acid solution.

16. BURET, ALKALI has a pitchcock as its stopper. It is used for delivering a measured volume of
liquid or measuring the quantity of a gas or liquid collected or discharged. It is only used for
containing base solution.

17. CRUCIBLE TONGS are used in holding hot materials or apparatus.

18. WATCH GLASS is a crystal used for observing small amount of sample undergoing reaction. It is
also used as a cover of the beaker in a boiling water or solution and as a container for litmus
paper while not in use during the experiment.

19. BUNSEN BURNER is a source of heat when non-luminous flame is needed for experiment work.

20. WIRE GAUZE is fine wire woven to make an open gauzy material for strainers. It is used to
regulate the heat of the flame when used in heating.

21. SEPARATORY FUNNEL is a piece of lab glass ware used in liquid-liquid extraction.

22. PIPET is used to dispense small quantities of liquid.


23. TEST TUBE is a glass tube, closed at one end used in making chemical tests. It is used for heating
small amount of solution in experiments.




24. TEST TUBE RACK is a framework of wooden or metal bars used for supporting the test tubes
when not in use or while waiting for the reaction of reagents to take place.

25. TEST TUBE HOLDER is a metal wire device used to hold test tube.

26. TEST TUBE BRUSH is used for cleaning test tube.

27. IRON STAND is used to support the setup for distillation, or oil extraction process.





28. IRON RING is used to hold the wire gauze and container with liquid to be heated specially in the
distillation process.

29. IRON CLAMP is used to hold the distilling flask or test tube in distillation.
