(. A) LEGAL EFFECTS OF AFFILIATION OF AN
!NREGISTERE !NION.
!+liation of a local cha$ter is generall#
understood to %e that of agenc#- where the local
union is the $rinci$al and the federation is the
agent/
B) LEGAL EFFECTS OF AFFILIATION OF AN
INE"ENENTLY REGISTERE !NION.
!+liation would allow an inde$endent union to
secure su$$ort or assistance during the for&ati1e

%etween the $arent %od# (federation) and the
su%ordinate union (a+liation.local union) and
%etween the &e&%ers of the su%ordinate union
inter se/
). THE EFFECT OF ISAFFILIATION TO (A) AN
(B)?
The e@ect of disa+liation to the union %# an
unregistered union is that it would cease to %e a
legiti&ate la%or organi?ation and would no longer
ha1e legal $ersonalit# and the rights and
$ri1ileges granted %# law to legiti&ate
organi?ation- unless the local cha$ter is co1ered
%# a dul# registered B!/ In the latter case- the
local or cha$ter will not lose its legal $ersonalit#
until the e0$iration of the B!/ !fter the B!
e0$ires it will lose its legal $ersonalit# unless it
registers as an inde$endent union/
The e@ect of disa+liation %# an inde$endentl#
registered union is that it BOULD NOT !99ET IT*
BEIN8 ! LE8ITI>!TE L!BOR OR8!NIC!TION and
therefore it would continue to ha1e legal
