Figure 2-1 Single Section Digital Axle Counter 3DP1S Configuration 2.3 System Working Principle 1. Once the system is powered ON, it will boot and enters the reset state. 2. A dedicated unit called reset box will be used to reset the SSDAC. 3. In this configuration one reset box will be used to reset three SSDAC units placed at station. 4. At this point the vital relay B will remain in de-energized state. 5. The reset command from reset box will be accepted after verifying the Line Verification LED is ON in the verification box and the SM key, reset button is pressed. Now the vital relay will get energized and system shall enter clear mode.

Page 6 6. Whenever train enters the section, on counting the first wheel the vital relay will get de-energized, system will enter the occupied mode and the wheel In-counts will be incremented till the last wheel of the train. 7. When the train that has already entered the section, exits the section, Out- counts are incremented. 8. When both In-counts and Out-counts match, the section will enter the clear mode and the vital relay will get energized. 9. Communication between the units will be through FSK. 10. In-counts and Out-counts will be displayed on LCD display. 11. Entry will be through any one of the 3 detection points A, B or C. 12. If train enters from detection point A, it can exit from detection points B OR C or B AND C. 13. If train enters from detection point B, it can exit from detection points A OR C or A AND C. 14. If train enters from detection point C, it can exit from detection points A OR B or A AND B. 15. The System Status, Checksum & Version No, Counts and error descriptions are displayed in the Reset Box LCD Display through FSK Communication using Quad Cable. 2.4 SSDAC -3DP1S (3DP1S Configuration Setting) The SSDAC system is configurable to different configurations based on the requirements. The polarizing is also used to identify and make sure that the right configured CPU insertion in the CPU module slot designated. The jumper 0 indicates no jumper to be done and 1 indicates jumper to be soldered. The Polarizing connector 1 indicate break and 0 indicate no break. The SSDAC 3DP1S system consists of Unit A, B and C System.
