Kad jednom nesto zabiljezis,

To ostaje isto zauvek,

I ako neko procita to isto
Za 1000 godina smisao ce ziveti
Unenlightened being is always under the sence of lack, and there is an effort to
escape from this, by gaining some kind of experience outside of ourselves, in t
he search of happines. ( the very fact of search is addmition we lack it and our
defenition of happines is often unexamined and taken form outside ). So we have
a lot of contradictary feelings of who we are and what we need. So our internal
world we should try to apply effort of finding causes and condition for happine
ss and unhappines. To do this we need to observe our experience, for example to
observe different type of happiness and how they relate to each other. The less
conditioned form of happiness the more superior it is, and ultimate happiness is
not conditioned at all. So for example sensual happiness is considered inferior
because it depends on so many external and internal factors and the pleasure of
physical bodies is depedent on stimulus and this is under the law of diminishin
g returns. Also physical body sense pleasures are always limited, and the feelin
g of desire are quite unpleasent giving feeling of lack and we want to get rid o
f this feeling by satisfying desire. The tension of desire builds up and the way
we look at other people changes because they might be competitiors . So lot of
toxic mental states are arising with the effort to obtain certain object which w
e believe will make us happy. But once we get the object the most pleasure is in
the realese of tension, but soon we get bored of it, we need to protect it and
it does not provide happiness we thought it would. It is altogether rather unsa
tisfactory.
We put to much attention on the external things we think will provide happiness
to us and to little on our inate capacity for happiness.
We have uneducated, uncultivated appreceiaction of happiness and laskc of skills
of disposing of negative mental states and cultaviating positive mental states.
Key positive mental state is mindfulness which is ability to be present in your
life and not live on auto pilot in past and future.
Our capacity to be present in here and now does not come without interest and ed
ucation on how to develope it.
Being in the present moment is ability to be aware of thought as thought and mem
ory as memory, so not creating identity of self from these thoughts and memories
but be here for present life.
Being able to relate to experience as process rather than being sacked by conten
t.
So feeling, thoughts, mind it is not a thing, these are all processes.
The ability to look directly at experience without distruction as processes. Mod
ern world has advanced the abiilty to communicate banal things but we have very
little knowledge what is happening to us right now inside.
We do not understand the structure of happiness, and uncultivated mind is always
prey to any thoughts and negative emotions even in best conditions.
Simple observation that for any experience of happiness we need both external an
d internal conditions but internal conditions are more powerfull than external
conditions. So the importance of understanding of how the mind works is essentia
l to developing happiness, especially refined happiness.
For example giving and goodness we have performed in the past are always there f
or us to recollect and bring happiness, to lift our hearts. So this is supperior
hapiness example.
Budhist morality is intteligent way to behave, for real happiness to occur.
So for example trust is essential between people for happiness to occur.
Kindess and generosity is important because just as thoughts affect behaviour so
behavious affects thoughts. Cultavtion of good conduct , cultaviont of good emo
tions are based on effort.
Meditation practise is based on effort to cultivate good states and to cut bad s
tates.
Toxic mental states arise trough lack of understanding of our body and mind. If
our mind is bright and clear we can develope love and any activity can produce s
ence of wellbeing. So we should be students of life and give less power to exte
rnal as there is no body or thing that can make us suffer just triggers.
So we do have a capacity to transform our life it lies withing ourselfs, we poss
es it by virtue of human birth. More stable happiness is expression of being and
is refuge and a joy trought once life.
