Subject: University policy related to Attendance of the students

Sir,
I am P. Triveni Reddy, w/o P. Raghuveer Reddy, a citizen of India, residing at #1-7-737
G.V.R.R Residency, Shanthi Nagar, Hanamkonda, would like to get the following information under the
Right To Information Act. (RTI Act.)
1. Does Kaktiya University has a policy related to detention due to shortage of attendance? If so, what is
the policy. I need the copies of all the documents related to this policy.
2. Does the same policy apply for the affiliated colleges working under the University? If so please
confirm whether the same policy applies to Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science(KITS),
Yerragattu Hillocks, Chinthagattu, Bheemaram, Hasanparthy, Warangal.
3. Is it true that KITS can have its own separate detention policy related to attendance? If KITS has such a
policy, we need a copy of the same.
4. In case of affiliated private colleges like KITS, who is the authority in deciding the detention related
matters? Before or after making such detention decisions, do they need to take any approvals from
Kakatiya University.
5. I would like to know the detentions made in KITS for the last 5 years. Also I need the copies of the
minutes of the Academic Council meetings, which made the decisions related to the detentions.
6. I would like to know the attendance of ALL the students for the last 5 years in KITS.
7. I need the full information of the students who are promoted against the detention policy. Also need
explanations for the same for past 5 years.
8. Please let me know, whether any student can be officially used for co-curricular activities in KITS. If
he is used for the co-curricular activities by the HOD or some other teacher, will it be counted as absentee
in the register?
9. I need full information under which circumstances, my son, Mr. Pendli Samhith Babu Reddy is
detained in 3rd year 2nd semester bearing Roll Number 11016-T-0339 ? Does it have University
approval?
10. Can the teachers (especially class teacher) maintain grudge against the students? If we provide the
proof of the same, what actions will be taken against the college (like KITS)
11. Do this detention policy applied only for 3rd year students of KITS,
Please make a note that any misinformation will be included with the complaint to the Governor of
Andhra Pradesh, who is also the Chancellor of Kakatiya University.
Under the RTI Act, I need the information within the time frame defined by the RTI Act.
