At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
understand the concept of phenomenon and system
understand the difference between social phenomena and natural phenomena
define a problem

Part 2: Structure, Behavior, and Policy Analysis
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
understand the two aspects of a phenomenon (structure and behavior)
recognize the physical structure and decision making structures
understand the concept of complexity
understand the essence of policy analysis
Part 3: Systems Thinking and System Dynamics
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
recognize the cause-effect relationship
understand the methodology of system dynamics modeling
Part 4: Feedback Loop, Delay and Nonlinearity
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
conceptualize a phenomenon using causal loop diagram (CLD)
understand the concept of feedback loops (positive and negative)
understand the concept of stock, flow, delay, and nonlinearity
describe theories underlying a CLD
Part 5: Simulation Software: Vensim PLE
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
construct flow diagram based on a CLD
simulate the model using Vensim PLE software
(Positive feedback, negative feedback, delays, nonlinearity, population model, investment model, and
inventory model)

Part 6: Availability
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
understand some concepts of availability that are widely used in modeling using the system dynamics
approach
understand the differences among the availability concepts
build a model based on each of availability concepts using Vensim PLE software
Part 7: Agriculture Model
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
understand the phenomenon of agriculture
construct a simple agriculture model (land, production, farmers cash-flow)
Part 8: Economic Growth Model
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
understand the phenomenon of economic growth
construct a simple economic growth model (income, government spending, consumption, investment)
Part 9: Zakat Model
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
understand the phenomenon of zakat in Indonesia
