describe my observations, learnings and experiences about Social Islami Bank Ltd.

It is indeed a great pleasure and honor on my part to have the opportunity to submit this report after
three months of practical orientation in Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL), Alonker moor Branch,
Chittagong. I would like to express my heartiest gratitude to almighty Allah for giving me the ability
and strength to accomplish the report.
It is neither an easy to fit in a situation where we had never been and familiarize with all the aspects
of banking activities. But yet I have successfully completed my internship in SIBL, Alanker Moor
Branch, Chittagong. And it would not have possible without the help of some kind hearted people.
During the period of my internship, I am grateful to the manager and all the staffs of different
sections of the bank for their kind assistance, valuable suggestion, direction, guidance and
encouragement in all affairs of preparing this report.

Executive Summary


In this era of present globalization banking sector in playing its important role to keep the people
moving with the movement of the modern technology. The implementation of automation in
banking has ensured the mathematical accuracy and promptness. It has made banking transaction
speedier, easier and comfortable.

SIBL has achieved a very satisfactory level of progress in all the areas of its operation. It has a good
number of clients. These Bank already have shown a good performance in relation to customer.
SIBL General Banking Department is actively participating in the growth of overall profit and it is
increasing the number of loyal customers by providing well behaves and well service. Other
department like Investment and Foreign exchange is also playing a great role.

The main objective of the study is to know about the overall performance of deposit practice in
SIBL with specific objective determining the level of customer satisfaction about the deposit service
of SIBL, Alanker Moor Branch, Chittagong.

The report is based on empirical as well as theoretical analysis. The data were obtained from the
bank training books, websites and various publications, close observation and annual report of
financial position of SIBL, to know the performance of General Banking, Investment and Foreign
Exchange Department. Collected data and information were tabulated and analyzed carefully in
order to make the report informative.

The interview, attitude and opinion was conducted to know the level of customer satisfaction.
Except few lacking, the result is the customers are fully satisfied with the service like sincerity,
getting individual attention, knowledge of the employees to understand customers specific needs.
Finally the result of this study can be used as a message from the customers to the bank. The
message is the service can be more reliable, empathic, and tangible. This report is essential in
providing the bank manager with a visual representation of the customer view on the banks
attributes and position in the marketplace.
