Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the learner will be better able to read for gist and detailed comprehension. They will also be able to
acquire specific vocabulary related to technology (computer science).
Assumed Knowledge: Notion of the vocabulary items used for the
pre-reading stage.
Materials & aids: Whiteboard; copies of text; handout with reading
for gist, specific information, vocabulary, and discussion activities; and
dictionaries (if necessary).
Anticipated problem(s): Difficulty in understanding certain
vocabulary items while reading. They might also find the reading not
appealing.
Proposed solution(s) A pre-reading task will be given so as to help
them understand such vocabulary items. T can resort to the importance
of the topic in Ss daily life.
