The calls started to pour into the station. Suicide
attempts, they were called. People running in front of
speeding cars, shooting themselves in the chest,
voluntarily touching live electrical wires. Except by the
time the police and paramedics arrived, no bodies were
found. No injuries were reported. It was like everyone
healed and just walked away.

But then a video surfaced online that changed everything

Set in a rural town, a local detective starts
to investigate a string of bizarre reports.
Although no injuries or bodies have been
found, more and more people claim to have
witnessed very strange suicide attempts. As
concerns begin to mount in the local
community, a new problem begins to develop
for the detective at home. Our main
characters youngest child grows more and
more sick, needing to be hospitalized right
before the beginning of the school year.

Across town, a high school sophomore prepares
for the local schools varsity football
tryouts. He has his sights on claiming the
starting quarterback position for the upcoming
season. Meanwhile, a young hispanic teenager
has moved into the house across the street
and is trying, as best he can, to succeed in
the new high school. Unfortunately, his older
brother has much different plans, and begins
cooking something in the abandoned house in
the woods.

Finally, a pretty nurse at the local hospital
finds a white bag of mysterious powder left
behind by a patient that fled suddenly in the
middle of the night

W R E C K E D is a character-driven series
centered in a small-suburban town after a
series of bizarre incidents threaten to
change the town forever.

The shows central conflict surrounds the
appearance of a mysterious drug called WRECK
that enables people to heal rapidly and
survive the impossible. Part gritty detective
show, part sci-fi drama, our main character
must attempt to solve the case while also
wrestling with many moral dilemmas that the
drug presents.

Rounding out the cast is a high school
football player who suffers a season ending
injury but is miraculously able to make it
back to the field, a pretty nurse who starts
experimenting with the drug for medicinal
uses, a young reporter hoping to break the
story wide open, a pastor for the towns
church who believes that this is an act of
God, and a hispanic immigrant who is
reluctantly forced to distribute the drug.

However, the drug starts to have unintended
consequences for those who use them, and even
stranger cases begin to develop in the
outskirts of town.
T A K A S H I D O S C H E R is a writer/director from Atlanta, GA. In 2010, he
became the youngest director to sell a film to ESPN when he sold his
feature doc, A Fighting Chance, at the age of 22. In a 2-week sneak
preview, the film launched as the #1 Film and #1 Doc on Hulu.
He has written and directed short films, advertisements, and music videos
that have been featured on the front page of Vimeo, USA Today, and MTV
Hive. In addition to WRECKED, Takashi is working on several feature
screenplays, two of which were selected as finalists in the 2013 and 2014
Sundance Writer's Labs.
Takashis work often depicts the conflict between science and the human
condition - a reflection of his educational background in Physics and
English. His latest screenplay, a romantic drama about the last woman on
Earth, is currently in development. This film, titled ONLY, is being
produced by Ineffable Pictures.
